Face To Face (2011 Film)
''Face to Face'' (2011) is an independent Australian film directed by Michael Rymer, based on the play of the same name, written by Australian playwright David Williamson. The film stars Vince Colosimo, Sigrid Thornton, Luke Ford and Matthew Newton. Plot A young construction worker rams into the back of his boss's Jaguar in a fit of anger at being sacked. Rather than fronting court, he is given the chance to explain his actions in a community conference. This face-to-face confrontation between the young man, his boss, his boss's wife, his co-workers, his best mate and his mother lifts the lid not only on his dysfunctional life but on their workplace dirty laundry, turning all of their lives upside down. Michael Rymer (born 1 March 1963 in Melbourne) is an Australian television and film director, best known for his work on the re-imagined ''Battlestar Galactica'' TV series, for which he directed the pilot miniseries and several episodes of the series. Lieutenant General Richard Kerens Sutherland (27 November 1893 – 25 June 1966) was a United States Army officer during World War II. He served as General of the Army Douglas MacArthur's Chief of Staff in the South West Pacific Area during the war. Early life and education Sutherland was born in Hancock, Maryland, on 27 November 1893, the only son among the six children of Howard Sutherland, who later became a US Senator from West Virginia, and Effie Harris Sutherland. Sutherland was raised and spent his adolescence and early adulthood in Elkins, West Virginia. Sutherland was educated at Davis and Elkins College, Phillips Academy, from which he graduated in 1911, and Yale University, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in 1916. The Inside Film Awards (now known as the IF Awards) is an annual awards ceremony and broadcast platform for the Australian film industry, developed by the creators of Inside Film Magazine, Stephen Jenner and David Barda, and originally produced for television by Australian Producer Andrew Dillon. The Byron Bay Film Festival is a popular AACTA Awards accredited independent awards-based film event held in the late Australian summer at the Byron Community & Cultural Centre, in the coastal town of Byron Bay. The Traverse City Film Festival is an annual film festival held at the end of July in Traverse City, Michigan. The festival was created as an annual event in 2005 to help “save one of America's few indigenous art forms—the cinema".
