Fabrice Giger
Fabrice A Giger (born 7 January 1965 in Geneva, Switzerland) is a literary publisher and film & TV producer. The son of Swiss painter José Giger, he is well known for publishing thousands of comic books / graphic novels from such authors as Alejandro Jodorowsky, Mœbius, Enki Bilal and John Cassaday. In 1988, at the age of 23, Giger took over the Paris-based publishing house Les Humanoïdes Associés (also known as Humanos in colloquial French and as Humanoids in English), its catalog, and brands such as '' Métal Hurlant'' (from which the American magazine '' Heavy Metal'' was adapted). In the same year, he founded his own publishing house, specializing in the publication of more traditional ''bandes dessinées'' aimed at a younger readership. Giger would terminate Alpen in 1994 after unsuccessful efforts to integrate its disparate catalogue into that of Humanoïdes, instead focusing on the latter. The 26th Daytime Emmy Awards were held in 1999 to commemorate excellence in daytime television programming from the previous year (1998). The main ceremonies were held May 21, 1999, at The Theater in Madison Square Garden in New York City and were televised live by CBS. Sri Aurobindo Ashram
The Sri Aurobindo Ashram is a spiritual community (ashram) located in Pondicherry, in the Indian territory of Puducherry. The ashram grew out of a small community of disciples who had gathered around Sri Aurobindo after he retired from politics and settled in Pondicherry in 1910. On 24 November 1926, after a major spiritual realization, Sri Aurobindo withdrew from public view in order to continue his spiritual work. ''Métal Hurlant Chronicles'' is an English-language Franco-Belgian television science fiction anthology series based on the popular comics anthology magazine ', known in the United States as '' Heavy Metal''. Each episode is a self-contained story taking place on a different planet with a different cast, and the episodes are linked together only by the idea that an asteroid, the "", passes the planet in question during the events of the story.
