FSV Glückauf Brieske-Senftenberg
FSV Glückauf Brieske-Senftenberg is a German football club from Senftenberg in Brandenburg, currently playing in the Landesliga Brandenburg-Süd (VII). History FSV Glückauf Brieske-Senftenberg was founded on 19 January 1919 as ''Fußballverein Grube Marga'' before becoming ''Fußballsportverein Grube Marga'' in 1928. The club was renamed ''Sportverein Sturm Grube Marga'' in 1933 and played two seasons (1941–43) in the Gauliga Berlin-Brandenburg, one of the country's 16 top-flight regional divisions. After World War II, the club was closed before being reformed as ''Sportgemeinde Grube Marga'' and becoming part of the separate football competition that emerged in East Germany under Soviet occupation. In 1948, it was renamed ''BSG Franz Mehring Grube'' in recognition of leftist politician, journalist and writer Franz Mehring. Landesliga
The Landesliga ( en, Football State League) is a tier of football in some states of the German football league system. In Bavaria, Saxony, Thuringia, Bremen, Lower Saxony and Hamburg, the Landesligas are set right below the Oberliga and therefore are the sixth tier. The reason for this is that Bavaria, Hamburg, Lower Saxony, and Bremen are the only places in Germany where the Oberliga, the State, and the Verband are geographically the same, while the other two states simply chose to call their leagues ''Landesligas'' when establishing them in 1990. In the Middle Rhine and Lower Rhine regions of North Rhine-Westphalia it is also, since 2012, the sixth tier. DDR-Liga
The DDR-Liga (English: GDR League or ''East German League'') was, prior to German reunification in 1990, the second level of football competition in the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik or German Democratic Republic, commonly East Germany), being roughly equivalent to the 2. Bundesliga in West Germany. Brandenburg-Liga
The Brandenburg-Liga (VI) (''formerly the Verbandsliga Brandenburg'') is the highest league for football teams exclusively in the German state of Brandenburg and at step six of the German football league system. The NOFV-Oberliga Süd is the fifth tier of the German football league system in the southern states of the former East Germany. It covers the German states of Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Saxony and southern Brandenburg. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football. Until the introduction of the 3. FC Energie Cottbus (Lower Sorbian: ''Energija Chóśebuz'') is a German football club based in Cottbus, Brandenburg. It was founded in 1963 as SC Cottbus in what was East Germany. After the reunification of Germany, Energie played six seasons in the third tier of the German football league system before floating between the 2.
