FSV Budissa Bautzen
The Fußballspielvereinigung Budissa Bautzen is a German association football club from Bautzen, Saxony. Founded as ''Fußballclub Budissa Bautzen'' on 24 May 1904, the club participated in East German football after World War II. History ''FC'' played in the VMBV (Verband Mitteldeutscher Ballspielvereine or Central German Federation of Ballsport Teams), one of the country's early regional leagues. They were renamed ''Sportverein Budissa 04'' in 1907 and went on to claim several local championships in the Gau Oberlausitz in the 1910s and again in the early 1930s. This led to repeated appearances in the regional championship round where they were usually eliminated in early rounds. By the time World War II broke out in 1939, ''SVB'' was playing third-tier ball on the local circuit. After the war, the Allied authorities banned existing organizations in the country, including sports and football clubs. 2018–19 Regionalliga
The 2018–19 Regionalliga is the eleventh season of the Regionalliga, the seventh under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format A new promotion format was used this season. The champions of the Regionalliga Nordost and Südwest were promoted directly to the 2019–20 3. Liga, as well as the champion of a third league determined in a draw. The other two champions participated in the promotion play-offs to determine the fourth promoted team. Regionalliga Nordost
The Regionalliga Nordost is the fourth tier of German football in the states of Berlin, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Saxony-Anhalt, Saxony and Thuringia. These comprise the states of former East Germany as well as West Berlin. It is one of five leagues at the fourth tier, together with the Regionalliga Bayern, Regionalliga Südwest, Regionalliga Nord and the Regionalliga West. From 1994 to 2000 it was part of the third tier, until the first of many re-structurings of the league system. The last of these occurred in 2012, which saw the Regionalliga Nordost reinstated. The FDGB-Pokal (Freier Deutscher Gewerkschaftsbund Pokal or Free German Trade Union Federation Cup) was an elimination football tournament held annually in East Germany. It was the second most important national title in East German football after the DDR-Oberliga championship. The founder of the competition was East Germany's major trade union. The NOFV-Oberliga Süd is the fifth tier of the German football league system in the southern states of the former East Germany. It covers the German states of Saxony-Anhalt, Thuringia, Saxony and southern Brandenburg. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football. Until the introduction of the 3. The DDR-Liga (English: GDR League or ''East German League'') was, prior to German reunification in 1990, the second level of football competition in the DDR (Deutsche Demokratische Republik or German Democratic Republic, commonly East Germany), being roughly equivalent to the 2. Bundesliga in West Germany. Overview 1950-1955 The league was established with two divisions of ten teams each in 1950 as the level of play below the DDR-Oberliga, and as such was the second tier of the East German football league system.
