FOROtv
Foro (English: "Forum"), is a broadcast news television channel owned by TelevisaUnivision. It is seen on most Mexican cable systems and full-time on two stations in Mexico, including XHTV-TDT in Mexico City, with selected programs airing on Televisa Regional and Televisa local stations. Foro is available on most Mexican cable and fiber-optic systems and the SKY Mexico satellite service, as well as on several national cable systems in the United States. History FOROtv launched on cable and satellite on February 15, 2010, and marked Televisa's return to the cable news business after operating the Noticias ECO service between 1988 and 2001. On August 30 of that year, it made its broadcast television debut when XHTV ditched its programming lineup aimed at Mexico City to carry FOROtv's programs. XHTV-TDT
XHTV-TDT (virtual channel 4), founded in 1950 by Romulo O'Farril, is a flagship TV station of Televisa and carries its Foro (TV channel), FORO news network. FOROtv is available on various cable television companies and SKY México satellite service, along with several providers in the United States as part of Televisa and Univision's partnership (albeit with local programming and sports replaced with American ads and recorded news blocks). It is the oldest TV station in Mexico and Latin America. History XHTV was Mexico's first television station and one of the building blocks of Telesistema Mexicano, which became Televisa in 1972. In 2001, XHTV began using the name 4TV with a program lineup targeted at the Mexico City area and the slogan "El Canal de la Ciudad" (The City Channel). XHJCI-TDT
XHJCI-TDT (physical channel 30, virtual channel 8) is a television station in Ciudad Juárez, owned by Televisa. It carries all of Televisa's local programming for Ciudad Juárez and is branded as tucanal (Your Channel). History Televisa Juárez obtained its third station in 1992, when Televisa was selected to continue its application for XHJCI-TV channel 32. After receiving its concession on September 21, 1994, channel 32 came to air with the Canal 5 network the next day, with full programming beginning on September 26. In 2005, XHJCI began carrying Las Estrellas programs as part of a shuffle of Televisa Juárez's stations. In August 2015, XEPM and XHJCI swapped virtual channels and networks. Televisa Regional is a unit of Televisa, Grupo Televisa which owns and operates television stations across Mexico. The stations rebroadcast programming from its subsidiary TelevisaUnivision (United States), TelevisaUnivision's other networks, and they engage in the local production of newscasts and other programs. Televisa Regional stations all have their own distinct branding, except for those that are Nueve (Mexican TV network), Nu9ve affiliates and brand as "Nu9ve ". Televisa traditionally has had agreements with independent station owners to supply programming for local stations. Orbital Communications Company), also known as ECO News, was a Mexican news channel, which broadcast from 1 September 1988 to 1 May 2001. It was the first 24-hour news channel in Spanish and was owned by Televisa. It closed due to low profits. XHUAA-TDT, virtual channel 19 ( UHF digital channel 22), is a Las Estrellas television station located in Tijuana, Baja California, Mexico, whose over-the-air signal also covers the San Diego, California area across the international border in the United States. The station is owned by the Grupo Televisa.
