FORJA Concertation Party
The FORJA Concertation Party ( es, Partido de la Concertación FORJA) is a political party in Argentina. It was founded in 2008 as a split from the Radical Civic Union. The party now forms part of the Frente de Todos (2019 coalition), Frente de Todos, the ruling coalition supporting President Alberto Fernández. At the time of its foundation and until the alliance's dissolution, the party was a member of the Front for Victory. The party counts with minor representation in the Argentine Chamber of Deputies: Mabel Caparrós, national deputy from Tierra del Fuego Province, Argentina, Tierra del Fuego, was elected in 2019 Argentine general election, 2019. Mabel Caparrós
Mabel Luisa Caparrós (born 9 January 1956) is an Argentine psychologist and politician, currently serving as National Deputy elected in Tierra del Fuego. Caparrós previously served as a National Senator for Tierra del Fuego from 2001 to 2007. Historically a member of the Justicialist Party, since 2019 she is a member of the FORJA Concertation Party, and currently forms part of the Frente de Todos. Early and personal life Caparrós was born on 9 January 1956 in Mar del Plata, in Buenos Aires Province. She studied psychology at the National University of Mar del Plata, graduating in 1982. In 1985 she moved to Río Grande, in Tierra del Fuego, where she worked at the Department of Minors and Families of the provincial government, and later at the Mental Health Service of Río Grande Regional Hospital. Daniel Osvaldo Scioli (, ; born 13 January 1957) is an Argentine politician, sportsman, and businessman. He was Vice President of Argentina from 2003 to 2007 and Governor of Buenos Aires Province from 2011 to 2015. From 2020 to 2022 he was Argentina's ambassador to Brazil. 2015 Argentine General Election
General elections were held in Argentina on 25 October 2015 to elect the President and National Congress, and followed primary elections which were held on 9 August 2015. A second round of voting between the two leading candidates took place on 22 November, after surprisingly close results forced a runoff. On the first runoff voting ever held for an Argentine Presidential Election, Buenos Aires Mayor Mauricio Macri narrowly defeated Front for Victory candidate and Buenos Aires Province Governor Daniel Scioli with 51.34% of votes. 2011 Argentine General Election
Argentina held national presidential and legislative elections on Sunday, 23 October 2011. Gustavo Melella
Gustavo Adrián Melella (born 2 December 1970) is an Argentine politician who is the current Governor of Tierra del Fuego Province, having taken office in December 2019. He previously served as Mayor of Río Grande from 2011 to 2019. He is the first openly gay governor of an Argentine province. He belongs to the FORJA Concertation Party.
