Futbolo Klubas Riteriai, also known as FK Riteriai or as Riteriai, is a Lithuanian professional association football, football club based in Vilnius. The team has been playing in the top level of Lithuanian football, the A Lyga, since 2014. Until 21 February 2019, the club was based in Trakai and was known as FK Trakai. The team's colors are yellow and blue. The club plays at LFF Stadium in Vilnius (capacity 5,067). History 2005–2013 The club was established in 2005 as a way to promote physical activity to children and the general society. In 2006, the club laid an artificial coverage stadium in Trakai and started to play in the III Lyga, III Lyga Vilnius County. In 2008, they also played in the Sunday Football League (Lithuania), Sunday Football League. LFF Stadium
LFF Stadium (Lithuanian Football Federation stadium, ), formerly known as Vėtra Stadium, is a football stadium in Vilnius, Lithuania. The stadium has a capacity of 5,067 people and was home of the Lithuanian national football team between 2012 and 2022. Overview The stadium was first named Lokomotyvas in Soviet era due to its location close to the Vilnius railway station. In 2004 it was the first private football-oriented stadium in Lithuania rebuilt after the Soviet era. It was then renamed to Vėtra Stadium as the home ground of Vėtra. In 2005 it hosted its first national team matches. Following the bankruptcy of Vėtra in 2010, the stadium was taken over by the Lithuanian Football Federation and renamed again as the LFF Stadium. The stadium has undergone various improvements to meet UEFA 3rd category stadium status. The Lithuania national football team ( lt, Lietuvos nacionalinė futbolo rinktinė) represents Lithuania in international football and is controlled by the Lithuanian Football Federation, the governing body for football in Lithuania. They played their first match in 1923. In 1940, Lithuania was occupied by the Soviet Union; the country regained its independence in 1990 and played their first match thereafter against Georgia on 27 May of that year. Although Lithuania has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup, nor the UEFA European Championship, they have successfully participated in the regional Baltic Cup tournament, which takes place every two years between Lithuania and their Baltic rivals, Latvia and Estonia. Havnar Bóltfelag (HB, lit. 'Harbour football club') is a Faroese football club, and is one of the oldest in the Faroe Islands. The club was founded in 1904, and is based in the city of Tórshavn. Home matches are played in Gundadalur and they compete in the Faroe Islands Premier League. History HB Tórshavn was founded in October 1904. The club's first board was elected in a meeting, on 14 November 1904. The board consisted of three people: Mads Andrias Winther, Joan Pauli Joensen and Jakup Mouritsen. The UEFA Europa League (abbreviated as UEL, or sometimes, UEFA EL), formerly the UEFA Cup, is an annual football club competition organised since 1971 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. FK Ekranas
Panevėžio Ekranas is a Lithuanian football club, from the city of Panevėžys. It won 7 top-tier champion and 5 national cup titles throughout its existence. The club was founded in 1964 and for 44 years competed in the top tier of Lithuanian football. However, at the end of 2014 season the club ran into financial difficulties, failed to meet admission criteria to A Lyga for the 2015 season, and was subsequently declared bankrupt. A new club FK Panevėžys was formed to represent the city of Panevėžys, which managed to pass licensing criteria for the 2015 I Lyga season. FK Ekranas was declared bankrupt in 2016. In 2020 FK Ekranas was restored. It plays in the 2nd tier of Lithuania. The 2015–16 UEFA Europa League was the 45th season of Europe's secondary club football tournament organised by UEFA, and the seventh season since it was renamed from the UEFA Cup to the UEFA Europa League. FK Šilas Kazlų Rūda
FK Šilas is a Lithuanian association football, football club from the city of Kazlų Rūda. The team competes in the I Lyga, in second tier of Football in Lithuania, Lithuanian football since 2021. In 2022, after a merger, the club was renamed to Marijampolė City, and moved to Marijampolė. History Šilas was founded in 1940 as FK Ąžuolas. The club has been renamed several times in the following years. In 2016 Šilas won I Lyga and hoped for promotion to A Lyga, but after a match fixing scandal were relegated to II Lyga. The club was officially declared entering administration, and therefore were not allowed to play in A Lyga or I Lyga. Deividas Česnauskis (born 30 June 1981) is a Lithuanian former professional footballer who played as a winger. He made 63 FIFA-official appearances for the Lithuanian national team scoring four goals. Club career Early career Česnauskis was born in Kuršėnai, Lithuanian SSR. He started his career as a teenage prodigy with Ekranas Panevėžys. In Russia Česnauskis earned a move to the Russian Premier League before his nineteenth birthday, when he joined Dynamo Moscow in 2000. Edgaras Jankauskas (born 12 March 1975) is a Lithuanian football manager and former professional player. A powerful forward during his playing career, Jankauskas excelled in the physical side of the game. Tadas Labukas (born 10 January 1984 in Alytus) is a Lithuanian Association football, footballer, who lastly played for the Lithuanian A Lyga club FK Atlantas.
