FK Chmel Blšany
FK Chmel Blšany was a Czech football club based in the village of Blšany. The club played in the Czech First League between 1998 and 2006 and was the first professional club of goalkeeper Petr Čech. The club disbanded in 2016 after resigning from the 2016-17 regional championship (5th tier of the Czech Republic football league system). The club was established as Sokol Blšany in 1946. The club played at the Městský Stadion with capacity of 2,300 seats. That meant that even with every citizen of Blšany village in the stand, there would be still about 1,500 free seats. FK Chmel Blšany (stadium)
FK Chmel Blšany is a multi-purpose stadium in Blšany, Czech Republic. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Chmel Blšany. The stadium holds 2,300 seated spectators. In 1998–2006, the Czech First League was played there, as FK Chmel Blšany appeared in the top flight of Czech football. Currently the Czech Fourth Division is played there. History Before the reconstruction in 2003, the stadium was able to hold 4,500 people. The club was forced to play home matches at Stadion Na Litavce in Příbram during the 2003–04 Czech First League due to the width of the pitch being smaller than the required 68 metres. The club returned to their home stadium in February 2004 following reconstruction. Later in 2004, Czech First League matches were again moved from Blšany, this time due to Blšany's stadium not having sufficient artificial lighting. Přemysl Bičovský (born 18 August 1950 in Košťany) is a Czech football manager and former player. He played 45 matches for Czechoslovakia. Michal Bílek
Michal Bílek (born 13 April 1965) is a football manager and former player. He led the Czech Republic national football team for four years between 2009 and 2013. As a player, he represented Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic at international level. His playing position was right midfielder. Currently, he is the coach of Viktoria Plzeň. Club career During his career, Bílek was mainly associated with Sparta Prague, which he represented on four separate occasions, starting with the first team aged only 17. In 1990, he had his first and only abroad experience, in Spain with Real Betis, being relegated in his first season, and returning to Sparta after another year. Günter Bittengel
Günter Bittengel (born 14 July 1966) is a Czech football coach and former player. He played as a striker in the Czechoslovak First League and went on to play in the Czech First League after the dissolution of Czechoslovakia. As a result, he also represented both Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic at international level. Club career During his playing career, Bittengel made over 100 league appearances for Dukla Prague in six seasons at the club. He was part of the Dukla team which won the 1989–90 Czechoslovak Cup. Miroslav Beránek
Miroslav Beránek (born 24 April 1957) is a Czech football coach who was most recently the manager of the Slavia Prague. As a player, he played over 100 matches as a defender for Slavia Prague in the 1980s. Coaching career Beránek took charge of Slavia Prague in the 1994–95 season. After managing Chmel Blšany in the Czech First League, he returned for a second spell at Slavia, where he won the 2001–02 Czech Cup. František Cipro (born 13 April 1947 in Jihlava) is a retired Czech football manager, known mostly for his work in SK Slavia Prague and SK Dynamo České Budějovice. He was an active player in the past. Playing career Cipro played for Slavia Prague for nine years, making 232 appearances and scoring 41 goals in the league. Coaching career As a coach, he won the Czech First League with Slavia Prague and achieved the semifinals of the UEFA Cup in 1996.
