FK Berane
Fudbalski klub Berane (Cyrillic: Фудбалски клуб Беране) is a Montenegrin football club based in Berane. Established at 1920, the club plays in the Second League of Montenegro. History FK Berane was founded in 1920, as one of the first football clubs in Northern Montenegro and Sandžak region. In the period before World War II, they were the most successful football team from the north. During the 1920s, as other neighbouring clubs mostly played friendlies, FK Berane participated in official competitions of Montenegro. Greatest season of that time was in 1928, when Berane played in the finals of Montenegrin Football Championship. Their opponent in the game for the trophy was FK Lovćen, who won with result 3–0. Berane City Stadium
Berane City Stadium ( Montenegrin: Gradski stadion Berane/Градски стадион Беране) is a multi-purpose stadium in Berane, Montenegro. Also known as Stadion pod Bogavskim brdom, it is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home ground of FK Berane and FK Radnički. Also it serves as home ground of Athletic Club Lim. History Stadium was built in 1981 for purposes of hosting Inter-municipalities Youth Sports Games also known as the MOSI Games ( Montenegrinn: Međuopštinske omladinske sportske igre/Међународне омладинске спортске игре). At that time, capacity of two new stands was 11,000 seats. During the 2017, Football Association of Montenegro started the renovation of the stadium. 1984–85 Yugoslav Cup
The 1984–85 Yugoslav Cup was the 37th season of the top football knockout competition in SFR Yugoslavia, the Yugoslav Cup ( sh, Kup Jugoslavije), also known as the "Marshal Tito Cup" (''Kup Maršala Tita''), since its establishment in 1946. Calendar The Yugoslav Cup was a tournament for which clubs from all tiers of the football pyramid were eligible to enter. The 2014–15 Montenegrin First League was the ninth season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 8 August 2014 and ended on 30 May 2015. 2011–12 Montenegrin First League
The 2011–12 Montenegrin First League was the sixth season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 6 August 2011 and ended on 30 May 2012, with a winter break beginning on 8 December 2011. Mogren are the defending champions. Teams Bar were directly relegated to the Montenegrin Second League after finishing 12th at the end of last season; the club returned to the second level after just one year. Their place was taken by 2010–11 Second League champions Bokelj, who returned to the top league of Montenegro after an absence of three seasons. 10th-placed Mornar and 11th-placed Sutjeska had to compete in two-legged relegation play-offs. The 2009–10 Montenegrin First League (also known as ''Deutsche Telekom, T-Com 1.CFL'' for sponsorship reasons) was the fourth season of the top-tier football in Montenegro. The season began on 8 August 2009 and ended on 29 May 2010. FK Mogren, Mogren Budva are the defending champions. Teams FK Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje, Jedinstvo Bijelo Polje were directly relegated to the Montenegrin Second League after finishing 12th in the 2008–09 Montenegrin First League, 2008–09 season. FK Budućnost Podgorica
Fudbalski Klub Budućnost Podgorica (Cyrillic: Будућност Подгорица, , lit. "Future") is a Montenegrin football club from Podgorica, Montenegro. It is competing in the Montenegrin First League. Its colours are blue and white. Founded in 1925, Budućnost was the Montenegrin club with most appearances in the Yugoslav First League, debuting in 1946. Due to the city being renamed during the communist rule in Yugoslavia, Budućnost was known as ''Budućnost Titograd'' throughout that era. Since Montenegrin independence in 2006, the club has won five Montenegrin First League titles and three Montenegrin Cups. 2007–08 Montenegrin Cup
The 2007–08 Montenegrin Cup was the second season of the Montenegrin knockout football tournament. The winner of the tournament received a berth in the first qualifying round of the 2008–09 UEFA Cup. The defending champions were Rudar, who beat Sutjeska in the final of the 2006–07 competition. The competition featured 30 teams. It started on 2 October 2007 and ended with the final on 7 May 2008. First round The 14 matches were played on 2 and 3 October 2007. Second round The first legs were played on 24 October and the second legs were played on 7 November 2007, with the exception of the second leg match between Sutjeska and Mogren, which was postponed until 28 November 2007. Montenegrin Cup
The Montenegrin Cup ( Montenegrin and Serbian: ''Kup Crne Gore'') is the national football cup played in Montenegro, established in 2006. The winner of the cup is awarded a spot in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League if they have not already gained a spot in the UEFA Champions League. Most successful participant until now was FK Rudar with four titles, followed by FK Budućnost with three and OFK Titograd who won it twice. 2006–07 Montenegrin First League
The 2006–07 Montenegrin First League season was the inaugural season of the league as Montenegro's top-tier football competition. Although the league existed before, it was previously a second-tier league, underneath the Serbo-Montenegrin First League. Upon the independence of Montenegro, and the establishment of a Montenegrin Football Association, the league became disassociated with the Serbo-Montenegrin league and thus was given its present position. The league played its first games of the season on 12 August 2006 and its final matches were played on 26 May 2007. On 26 May, after their final match, FK Zeta were confirmed as the league's first ever champions under the new FA, and thus qualified as the country's first ever UEFA Champions League competitor. The First League of Montenegro ( Montenegrin: ''Prva crnogorska fudbalska liga'' — ''Prva CFL'' — ''1. CFL''; ) is the top football league in Montenegro. 2006 Montenegrin Independence Referendum
An independence referendum was held in Montenegro on 21 May 2006. By 23 May, preliminary referendum results were recognized by all five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council, suggesting widespread international recognition if Montenegro were to become formally independent. On 31 May, the referendum commission officially confirmed the results of the referendum, verifying that 55.5% of the population of Montenegrin voters had voted in favor of independence. Because voters met the controversial threshold requirement of 55% approval, the referendum was incorporated into a declaration of independence during a special parliamentary session on 31 May.
