FIS Ski Flying World Championships 2022
The 2022 FIS Ski Flying World Championships were the 27th Ski Flying World Championships, held from 10 to 13 March 2022 in Vikersund, Norway. It is the fifth competition of its rank to be held at this location (previously in 1977, 1990, 2000 and 2012). The defending champion in the individual competition was German Karl Geiger and in the team competition the Norwegian national team. On 1 March 2022, following the 2022 Russian invasion of Ukraine On 24 February 2022, in a major escalation of the Russo-Ukrainian War, which began in 2014. Vikersund
Vikersund is a town of 3,232 (in 2020) inhabitants in the municipality capital of Modum, in the county of Viken, Norway. Overview Vikersund is located 30 kilometers south of Hønefoss and 40 kilometers northwest of Drammen. The village is located at the southwestern arm of Tyrifjorden. Michael Hayböck
Michael "Michi" Hayböck (; born 5 March 1991) is an Austrian ski jumper. Career He took his first World Cup win on 6 January 2015 in Bischofshofen in the final event of the Four Hills Tournament 2014/15. He is a junior world champion from Hinterzarten 2010. Hayböck competed for Austria in both individual men's ski jumping events at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. He qualified for the finals in both events and placed 5th in the normal hill competition and 8th in the large hill.
