The FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships is the world championship organized by the FIS for freestyle skiing. It was first organized in 1986 and is now held every odd year. Currently, the events included in the world championships are Moguls, Dual Moguls, Aerials, Ski cross, Slopestyle and Half-pipe. Formerly, Acroski and a combined event were held. Kari Traa (born 28 January 1974) is a Norwegian former Olympic freestyle skier. She won the Olympic title in the moguls event at the 2002 Winter Olympics, finished second at the 2006 games, and finished third at the 1998 games. Shannon Bahrke
Shannon Bahrke (born November 7, 1980) is an American Olympic freestyle skier and entrepreneur. Bahrke was the silver medalist in Moguls at the 2002 Winter Olympics held in Salt Lake City and went on to become the 2003 World Cup Champion. She also won the bronze medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver. With her bronze medal in 2010, she became the first US women freestyle skier to win multiple Olympic medals. Bahrke was also the 2009 US National Champion in dual moguls. She has reached the podium twice at the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships, winning bronze in 2003 and silver in 2007, both in dual moguls. Veronika Bauer
Veronika Bauer (born October 17, 1979 in Toronto, Ontario) is a Canadian freestyle skier. Bauer competes in aerials, and made her World Cup debut in August 1997 at Mount Buller in Australia. Her first World Cup podium also came at that venue, two years later. Her first career World Cup win came in 2002, when she won an event at Lake Placid. Over her career, Bauer has placed on the podium at World Cup events 18 times, with four of these being victories. Her most successful season came in 2003, as she placed 3rd overall in the World Cup standings. That season saw her claim three of her four titles, two at Mt. Buller and one in Fernie. She has made the podium twice at the World Championships. She won a gold medal at Whistler in 2001, then finished less than three points behind Alisa Camplin to earn silver in 2003. Alisa Camplin
Alisa Peta Camplin, (born 10 November 1974) is an Australian aerial skier who won gold at the 2002 Winter Olympics, the second ever winter Olympic gold medal for Australia. At the 2006 Winter Olympics, Camplin finished third to receive a bronze medal. is a Japanese freestyle skier, specializing in moguls. Tsukita competed at the 1998, 2002, 2006 and 2010 Winter Olympics for Japan.
