FIS Freestyle Ski And Snowboarding World Championships 2015
The 2015 FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships were held in Kreischberg, Austria from January 15–25, 2015. In 2014, the FIS (International Ski Federation) decided to merge the FIS Freestyle World Ski Championships with the FIS Snowboarding World Championships starting with these championships. The Austrian municipality of Kreischberg was awarded the event in 2010. Qualification for the women's aerials event began a day before the opening ceremony. Freestyle skiers competed in six disciplines: moguls, dual moguls, ski cross, slopestyle, halfpipe and aerials. Snowboarders competed in six disciplines: halfpipe, slopestyle, parallel slalom, parallel giant slalom, big air and snowboard cross. Kiley McKinnon
Kiley McKinnon (born September 1, 1995) is an American freestyle skier. She came in first place in the aerials competition during the 2015 FIS World Cup Champion and also won a silver medal in aerials at the FIS Freestyle Ski and Snowboarding World Championships 2015 in Kreischberg, Austria. In 2018, McKinnon represented Team USA in the PyeongChang Olympics and placed 10th in aerials. McKinnon is a co-founder of Halfdays, a direct-to-consumer brand for women's ski wear made of recycled fabrics that launched in November 2020. Britteny Cox (born 29 September 1994) is an Australian mogul skier. Growing up in the Victorian alpine resort of Falls Creek, Cox was born into a mogul skiing environment, with her family passionate mogul skiers. Cox was the youngest athlete to compete at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. Hannah Angela Kearney (born February 26, 1986) is an American mogul skier who won a gold medal at the 2010 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Olympics. Personal life Kearney was born in Norwich, Vermont to Jill (née Gass) and Tom Kearney. They met while attending McGill University in Montreal, Quebec. She grew up and still lives in Norwich, Vermont.
