Planai
Planai is a ski area in central Austria, the main mountain in the Schladming area in Styria. It is one of four adjoining mountains, which includes Hauser Kaibling, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm, connected under the name Schladminger 4-Berge-Schaukel. It is not regarded as a single mountain and all text from the official website cites the total amount of pistes. Planai was the host venue of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in 2013, held in early February. Schladming previously hosted alpine skiing's major biennial event in 1982, with the men's events at Planai and the women's at Haus im Ennstal. Stefano "Sabo" Gross (born 4 September 1986) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from northern Italy. Born in Bozen, South Tyrol, Gross was raised in Pozza di Fassa in Trentino; he races in the technical events and specializes in the slalom. Career Gross made his World Cup debut at Alta Badia in December 2008, and his best results are three podiums in slalom in 2015, including a victory in Adelboden. Leif Kristian Nestvold-Haugen (born 29 November 1987) is a Norwegian World Cup alpine ski racer, specializing in the technical events of giant slalom and slalom. Haugen made his World Cup debut in October 2009 in Sölden, and collected his first World Cup points with a 26th place. He won a bronze medal in giant slalom at the World Championships in 2017 and attained his first World Cup podium in March 2017 at Kranjska Gora, Slovenia. Nestvold-Haugen represents the sports club Lommedalens IL, and hails from Lommedalen. He primarily competes in giant slalom, but in January 2016 at Kitzbühel, Luitz completed both runs in slalom, a first in his World Cup career, and finished eighteenth. His only previous second run in slalom was more than three years earlier, in December 2012 at Madonna di Campiglio, where he failed to finish. is a Japanese alpine skier. At the 2002 Winter Olympics, Sasaki ranked 34th in the giant slalom. He did not finish in the slalom event. His best result in the Alpine Skiing World Cup is from 2003 slalom in Wengen, where he finished in a surprising second place with starting number 65. Marc Gini (born 8 November 1984 in Castasegna) is a Swiss alpine skier, specializing in slalom and giant slalom. He started his career in 2000, and has competed in World Cup races since 2003. Markus Vogel (born January 12, 1984) is a World Cup alpine ski racer from the Canton of Nidwalden in Switzerland, who specializes in the Slalom discipline. He made his World Cup debut in January 2008 in his home race at Adelboden where he skied out of the first run. A week later in the slalom in Wengen, Vogel managed to qualify for the second run in 29th place from a start number of 62, but was unable to finish the second run. He did not finish the first run of his other four races in 2008. In fact, it was over a year until Vogel picked up his first World Cup points with a 19th-place finish in Kitzbühel.
