FIM Superstock 1000 Championship
The European Superstock 1000 Championship, formerly FIM Superstock 1000 Cup or Superstock 1000 FIM Cup, was a supporting class to the Superbike World Championship. Overview The series was introduced in 1999 as a European championship and in October 2004 became the ''Superstock 1000 FIM Cup''. It was classified as a ''FIM Prize''. For 2017, the FIM CEV European Superbike Championship was discontinued and the FIM Cup was renamed ''European Superstock 1000 Championship'', with its status changed back to European championship. The series was closed at the end of the 2018 season. The championship was organized and promoted as its parent series by FGSport (renamed Infront Motor Sports in 2008) until 2012, and by Dorna since 2013 season to its closure. BMW S1000RR is a race oriented sport bike initially made by BMW Motorrad to compete in the 2009 Superbike World Championship, that is now in commercial production. It was introduced in Munich in April 2008, and is powered by a four-cylinder engine redlined at 14,200 rpm. BMW made 1,000 S1000RRs in 2009 to satisfy World Superbike homologation requirements, but expanded production for commercial sale of the bike in 2010. Xavier Siméon (born 31 August 1989) is a Grand Prix motorcycle racer from Belgium, competing in the MotoE World Cup. He is the winner of the 2009 FIM Superstock 1000 Championship and the 2006 European Superstock 600 Championship and the winner of the 2021 24 Hours Moto of Le Mans endurance race on Suzuki together with Sylvain Guintoli and Gregg Black.
