FIBA Africa Under-16 Championship
The FIBA U16 African Championship is an under-16 basketball championship in the International Basketball Federation's FIBA Africa zone. The tournament is held biennially. The top two teams in the competition qualify for the FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup. The 2010 FIBA Under-17 World Championship (German: FIBA U17-Weltmeisterschaft 2010) was the inaugural edition of the FIBA Under-17 World Championship, the biennial international men's youth basketball championship contested by the U17 national teams of the member associations of FIBA. 2017 FIBA Under-16 African Championship
The 2017 FIBA Africa Under-16 Championship, alternatively the 5th Afrobasket U16, was an international basketball competition held in Vacoas-Phoenix, Mauritius from 13–22 July 2017. It served as the qualifier for the 2018 FIBA Under-17 Basketball World Cup. Mali claimed their first-ever under-16 continental title by dethroning the defending champions Egypt in the final, 76–65. Both teams will represent FIBA Africa to the Under-17 Basketball World Cup next year. Siriman Kanouté
Siriman Kanouté (born 25 September 2001) is a Malian professional basketball player. He has starred for the Malian national junior teams on several occasions and trains with French club SLUC Nancy Basket. Early life and career Kanouté grew up playing both football and basketball. He learned how to play basketball from his father, a former player, and soon began playing the sport for the club AS Real Bamako. In 2018, Kanouté signed a four-year contract with SLUC Nancy Basket in France. Ahmed Khalaf (basketball)
Ahmed Aboelela Moursi Khalaf (born 24 February 1999), commonly known as Bebo, is an Egyptian basketball player who plays for Al Ittihad Alexandria of the Egyptian Basketball Super League. He also plays for the Egypt national basketball team, with whom he appeared at the AfroBasket 2021 tournament. Early career Khalaf played at the Basketball Without Borders camp in 2016. Ehab Mohamed Mohamed Amin Saleh (born August 1, 1995) is an Egyptian professional basketball player for Al Ahly. He played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks.
