FFC Brauweiler Pulheim
FFC Brauweiler Pulheim 2000 was a German Women's association football, women's football club based in Pulheim, North Rhine-Westphalia. It was founded when the women's section of Grün-Weiß Brauweiler in 2000 established its own club. The team played its last season in the Fußball-Regionalliga (women), Regionalliga, the German third division. Afterwards the clubs disbanded to join 1. FC Köln. History In 1974 Thomas Meyer established a training group which became the women's section of Grün-Weiß Brauweiler. The team played in the top division from the beginning on and relegations in 1980 and 1986 were followed by direct re-promotions. Despite three consecutive wins of the regional ''Mittelrheinpokal'' in 1989-91 Brauweiler did not qualify for the Fußball-Bundesliga (women), Bundesliga at its inception in 1990. Pulheim
Pulheim (; Ripuarian language, Ripuarian: ''Pullem'') is a town in the Rhein-Erft-Kreis, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. Since the 1920s, a large substation of the ''Rheinisch-Westfälisches Elektrizitätswerk AG'' (RWE) is located at Pulheim. It is the end of the north south powerline and a large control center for the power grid of the RWE. In the communal reform of 1975, several previously independent municipalities were added to the municipality Pulheim, which received city rights in 1981. Pulheim consists of 12 quarters (''Stadtteile''), including Brauweiler, Geyen and Stommeln. Esmeralda Negron
Esmeralda Negrón (born 15 January 1983) is an American-born Puerto Rican retired footballer and current coach. She has been a member of the Puerto Rico women's national team. She was voted the second greatest Princeton University female athlete of the decade (2000–2010) for her time leading Princeton University women's soccer team. Early life A native of Harrington Park, New Jersey, Negrón attended Northern Valley Regional High School at Old Tappan. College career Princeton made the NCAA tournament in all four seasons Negrón was on the team, advancing to the second round in her freshman season of 2001. During her days at Princeton, Negrón scored 47 goals as part of her 112 career points, both Princeton records for both the men's and women's programs.
