Djiboutian Franc
The Djiboutian franc ( ar, فرنك) is the currency of Djibouti. Its ISO 4217 currency code is ''DJF''. Historically, it was subdivided into 100 ''centimes''. History From 1884, when the French Somaliland protectorate was established, the French franc circulated alongside the Indian rupee and the Maria Theresa thaler. These coexisted with 2 francs = 1 rupee and 4.2 francs = 1 Maria Theresa thaler. From 1908, francs circulating in Djibouti were legally fixed at the value of the French franc. Starting in 1910, banknotes were issued for the then colony by the Bank of Indochina. Chamber of Commerce paper money and tokens were issued between 1919 and 1922. In 1948, the first coins were issued specifically for use in Djibouti, in the name of the "Côte Française des Somalis". In 1949, an independent Djiboutian franc came into being when the local currency was pegged to the US dollar at a rate of 214.392 francs = 1 dollar. The Faculty of Dental Surgery of the Royal College of Surgeons of England is an independent UK professional body committed to enabling dental specialists to provide patients with the highest possible standards of practice and care. The Faculty is an integral part of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and is located at the College's headquarters in Lincoln's Inn Fields in London. The Faculty was established in 1957 to meet the requirement that the training of dental specialists involves the same academic discipline as that demanded for medicine and surgery. Subsequent to the 1946 NHS Act UK dental graduates were required to show evidence of several years' postgraduate training in all aspects of dentistry and to have acquired a recognised postgraduate qualification. Française des Jeux (FDJ) is the operator of France's national lottery games, and the title sponsor of the FDJ cycling team. The name of the company loosely translates as The French Company of Games. The company was previously owned and operated by the French government. In July 2018, the French government, which owned 72% of FDJ, has decided to take the company public and sell off 50% of its ownership. This is in hopes of rejuvenating the national treasury. In addition to lottery games, the company also provides online games and sports betting markets, such as association football, cycling, rugby union, and track and field.
