FC Voluntari II
Fotbal Club Voluntari II, commonly known as FC Voluntari II, or simply as Voluntari II, is the reserve squad of Romanian first league side, FC Voluntari. The squad is currently playing in the Liga III, after achieving the promotion at the end of the 2014–15 season. History The team was founded in the summer of 2014 from the desire of having a second senior squad where the players who finished the youth academy could be accommodated with the level of seniors, in the idea of being subsequently promoted to the first squad. The team was enrolled in the Liga IV – Ilfov County where it was crowned as champion after just one season, winning the league, then the playoff tournament. The team qualified for the Liga III promotion play-off where they won without any problems, 9–1 on aggregate against Arsenal Malu, Giurgiu County champions. Liga IV Ilfov
Liga IV Ilfov is the county football division of Liga IV for clubs based in Ilfov County, România. The competition is ranked as the fourth tier of the Romanian football league system and it is competed between 12 teams, the winner may or may not be promoted to Liga III, depending on the result of a promotion play-off that is disputed against a winner of the neighboring counties series. 2019–20 Liga III
The 2019–20 Liga III was the 64th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season was initially scheduled to begin on 24 August 2019 and to end on 30 May 2020. The season was interrupted on 9 March 2020, after 16 rounds, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After two months of inactivity, on 11 May 2020, the Romanian Football Federation announced that the season was discontinued and the best ranked teams from each series (after 16 rounds) were promoted to Liga II, only if the distance between the leader and the runner-up was bigger than 3 points. Otherwise promotion play-offs will be played between the best two teams of the series. The 2020–21 Liga III was the 65th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season began in September 2020 and ended in May 2021. The 2022–23 Liga III will be the 67th season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The season will begin in August 2022 and is scheduled to end in June 2023. This season is the third consecutive with a format that will include 100 teams (10x10). The format was changed two seasons ago, due to the financial problems generated by the COVID-19 pandemic. Mircea Rădulescu (born 31 August 1941, in Bucharest) is a Romanian former football player and manager. Life and career Rădulescu was born in Bucharest and has appeared in nearly 300 football matches. He was a member of Rapid București at junior level and after that he joined FC Sportul Studențesc București, being part of the great team that promoted in 1971–72 to Liga I. Gabriel Popescu (footballer)
Gabriel "Gabi" Popescu (born 25 December 1973) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Popescu represented the Romania national team 21 times and scored four goals, he was also capped 37 times for the U-21 side. The undoubted highlight of his international career was his appearances at the 1998 FIFA World Cup, where he played in all four Romanian matches, including their dramatic 2–1 victory over England. Popescu began his career with Romanian side Universitatea Craiova, before moving to Spain where he played with three different La Liga clubs – UD Salamanca, Valencia CF and CD Numancia. Florin Lucian Cernat (born 10 March 1980) is a Romanian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder and playmaker. He made 14 appearances for the Romania national team scoring two goals. Club career Oțelul Galați & Dinamo București Florin Cernat started his professional career at Oțelul Galați.
