FC United Zürich is a Swiss Association football club based in Zurich, Switzerland, that competes in the 2. Liga Interregional, the fourth tier of Swiss football. Founded in 1985, the club has never played higher than the Third tier. History On 1 July 1985, the club was founded by members of the Turkish community in Zurich as FC Fenerbahce Zürich, named after Fenerbahce SK. In 2008, while in a relegation battle in the eighth division, the club was brought by Orhan Yilmaz and Bernhard Fanger with the aim of rebuilding the club. And making it more multi-national. 2017–18 Swiss Promotion League
The 2017–18 Promotion League season is the 6th edition (the 4th since its name change) of the 3rd division of Swiss Football and is the third level of the football hierarchy in Switzerland, behind the Super League and the Challenge League. The Championship has 16 teams and each team plays 30 games. FC Le Mont LS, which he had not received the license III in the 1st instance, has decided not to appeal. The club also decides that the team will also not play in Promotion League. FC United Zurich, 15th in the 2016-2017 season, is maintained in Promotion League. Swiss Promotion League
The Promotion League, named the YAPEAL Promotion League for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Swiss football league system. Eighteen clubs compete in the league, playing each other twice over the course of the season. The champions are promoted to the second tier, the Challenge League, while the bottom two teams are relegated to the 1. Liga. The league forms the semi-professional bridge to amateur football. FC Baden is a Swiss football club based in Baden, Canton Aargau, which is a short distance from Zürich. It was founded in 1897.
