FC Tambov
FC Tambov (russian: ФК Тамбов) was a Russian football team from Tambov. It last played in the Russian Premier League, having won promotion to the top division of Russian football in 2019, before dissolving in 2021. History FC Tambov started out on the professional level in the third-tier Russian Professional Football League in the 2013–14 season. Despite coming in last in their zone in their first professional season, the team was not relegated, as a team that came ahead of them in the table dropped out for financial reasons. For the 2016–17 season, they were promoted to the Russian Football National League for the first time. On the last day of the 2016–17 season, they needed to defeat FC SKA-Khabarovsk away to achieve 4th place and a spot in the promotion play-offs for the Russian Premier League, but the game ended with a score of 2–2, leaving Tambov in 5th place. Mordovia Arena (russian: «Мордовия Арена») is a football stadium in Saransk, Mordovia, Russia built for the 2018 FIFA World Cup. It hosted FC Mordovia Saransk, prior to their dissolution in 2020 from the Russian Professional Football League, replacing Start Stadium. It has a capacity of 44,442 spectators. The total area of the facility is 122,700 sq m. The Arena is located in the central part of the city and is within a walking distance of the city's key infrastructure. The stadium design is based on the image of the sun, the main symbol of ancient myths and legends of the Mordvin people. Sergei Aleksandrovich Pervushin (russian: Серге́й Александрович Первушин; born 29 March 1970) is a Russian professional football coach and a former player who is an assistant coach with FC Chayka Peschanokopskoye. Coaching career On 21 October 2019 he was appointed caretaker manager of Russian Premier League club FC Tambov following the dismissal of Aleksandr Grigoryan, with Tambov in last place in the standings. On 28 May 2020, he signed a contract for the 2020–21 season as a manager of Tambov, with Tambov up to 11th position at the time. FC Tambov was dissolved after the 2020–21 season. The 2017–18 Russian Cup was the 26th season of the Russian football knockout tournament since the dissolution of Soviet Union. The competition started on 14 July 2017 and finished on 9 May 2018. Andrei Viktorovich Talalaev (russian: Андрей Викторович Талалаев; born 5 October 1972) is a Russian professional football coach, television commentator and a former player. He is the manager of FC Torpedo Moscow. Career Club Talalaev made his professional debut in the Soviet Top League in 1991 for FC Torpedo Moscow.
