FC Sumy
Football Club Sumy is an association football club based in Sumy, Ukraine. It was formed when LSG Syrovatka adopted the new name FC Sumy and a variation of the city's coat of arms for its logo. History The football club was established in January of 2016 in the village Verkhnya Syrovatka, Sumy as LSG Syrovatka. The club was named after a law firm LS Group which is headed by its president Hennadiy Demyanenko. Since 2019–20 season the main team began to play its home games in Sumy. On 3 March 2020 the football club was renamed to FC Sumy. The club's leadership emphasizes that it has no relation to the original PFC Sumy that was liquidated in 2019. Yuvileiny Stadium
Yuvileiny Stadium is a football stadium in Sumy, Ukraine, home grounds to both Sumy and Alliance. The building was put into operation on September 20, 2001. The stadium has a total capacity of 25,830 spectators. The stadium has hosted numerous top-tier matches in the Ukrainian Super Cup and Ukrainian Cup. Otherwise, the stadium hosts most of Alliance's matches in the Ukrainian First League as well as home matches for Sumy. The stadium's first match held an attendance record of about 29,300 spectators when Spartak Sumy played Naftovyk Okhtyrka in 2003. History Yuvileiny Stadium is located nearby Kozhedub Park near downtown Sumy. Prior to its construction, on the site of Yuvileiny was Spartak Stadium, built in 1949. FC Spartak Sumy was a Ukrainian football club based in Sumy. History Yavir was established on January 12, 1982 at the village forestry Krasnopillya. In Ukrainian Yavir ( uk, Явір) means Sycamore ('' Acer pseudoplatanus''). The team started playing in the regional championship and after couple of years became the regional champion. The following year it won the regional cup. The 2021–22 Ukrainian Second League is the 31st since its establishment. Summary On June 1, 2021, the PFL Central Council adopted decision that new season competitions in the PFL Second League would start on July 25, 2021, just as competitions in all professional leagues in Ukraine. The competition format and league composition corresponds to the PFL program "Strategy of Development" that was adopted back in 2016. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The competition involves all professional clubs plus the two finalists of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup (since 2011).
