Uhrencup
The Uhrencup is a club football tournament, held annually in Grenchen and Biel in Switzerland. The Uhrencup is seen as a testament to the major influence that is exercised by the local industry on the cultural lives of the areas residents. The tournament usually features four teams (sometimes more), each playing two matches, and is held in July as a friendly tournament, the format of which tends to be fluid. For the teams taking part, the tournament is a welcome opportunity to prepare for the upcoming football season. Marco Mathys (born 5 July 1987) is a Swiss footballer who plays for FC Solothurn in the Swiss 1. Liga. Career Early career Mathys came up through the youth ranks of hometown club SC Derendingen. Concordia Basel In July 2006, Mathys moved to FC Concordia Basel. In three seasons with the club, he made 79 league appearances, scoring eight times. Robin Huser (born 24 January 1998) is a Swiss professional Association football, footballer who plays as a midfielder. Club career Huser started his youth football with local club FC Subingen. In 2010 he moved to the youth of FC Solothurn and another two years later he moved to the youth division of FC Basel. Yves Kaiser (born 30 April 1998) is a Swiss professional footballer who plays as a centre back for Solothurn. Club career Kaiser started his youth football by local club FC Luterbach, but moved to FC Solothurn as 12 year old. Three years later he moved to the youth academy of FC Basel and advanced through all stages. On 16 March 2018 Yves Kaiser, the captain of the U-21 team, signed his first professional contract with the club over a two year year period until the summer of 2020.
