FC Seoul is an association football club based in Seoul, South Korea. The club was founded in 1983 under the name Lucky-Goldstar FC. Since 1984, Seoul is competing in the K League 1, the highest level of football in the country. FC Seoul
FC Seoul ( ko, FC 서울) is a South Korean professional football club based in Seoul that competes in the K League 1, the top flight of South Korean football. The club is owned by GS Sports, a subsidiary of GS Group. They play their home games at the Seoul World Cup Stadium. The club was officially founded as Lucky-Goldstar Football Club in 1983, by the Lucky-Goldstar Group, and was later renamed as LG Cheetahs in 1990. Due to the K League decentralization policy in 1996, the club was relocated to the Seoul's satellite city of Anyang for eight years, before returning to Seoul in 2004. FC Seoul have won six K League titles, two FA Cups, two League Cups and one Super Cup. Internationally, the club reached the AFC Champions League final on two occasions, in 2001–02 and 2013. Asian Cup Winners' Cup
The Asian Cup Winners' Cup was an association football competition run by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The competition was started in 1991 as a tournament for all the domestic cup winners from countries affiliated to the AFC. The winners of the Cup Winners' Cup used to contest the Asian Super Cup against the winners of the Asian Club Championship. Adilson dos Santos, shortly Adi or Adilson (born 12 May 1976), is a former Brazilian footballer, who last played as a left-back for South Korean K League Classic side FC Seoul. His good impression in Seoul was such that after retiring, he stayed as assistant manager at the club. Club career Adilson started his senior career playing with Apucarana Atlético Clube, and by 1998 he was estimated the best defender in Paraná State championship. Next year, he moved to Serbian Red Star Belgrade where he played 11 matches in the First League of FR Yugoslavia during the 1998–99 season. In 1999, he moved to Real Betis. but he did not make debut and moved to Sevilla FC. However, Sevilla did not have enough money to pay the transfer fee, so Real Betis lodged a complaint against Sevilla FC and he was not allowed to play for Sevilla FC.
