David Sesa
David Sesa (born 10 July 1973) is a Swiss football manager and former player. He is the manager of Rapperswil-Jona. A midfielder or forward, he made 36 appearances for the Switzerland national team. He is the current manager of Bellinzona in the Swiss Challenge League. Club career Sesa started his career in Switzerland playing for FC Zürich and FC Baden before having his breakthrough during his stint at Servette Geneva. In 1998, he moved to Italy to join Serie B club Lecce, winning promotion to Serie A on his first season. His second season in Italy gained him interest from Napoli, who signed him for 16 billion Italian lira in 2000. The Promotion League, named the YAPEAL Promotion League for sponsorship reasons, is the third tier of the Swiss football league system. Eighteen clubs compete in the league, playing each other twice over the course of the season. The 2022–23 Swiss Promotion League (known as the YAPEAL Promotion League for sponsorship reasons) is the 11th season (9th under its current name) of the 3rd tier of the Swiss football league system under its current format. Overview Starting from this season, eighteen teams will play in a round-robin league with home and away games. The sixteen teams of the previous season are joined by FC Baden and FC Bulle, who were promoted from the 1.
