FC Olimp Khimki (russian: ФК «Олимп» Химки) was a Russian football team based in Khimki. It was founded in 2018 and entered amateur competitions, representing Moscow. For 2019–20 season, it received the license for the third-tier Russian Professional Football League. On 25 May 2020, FSC Dolgoprudny announced that it would merge into FC Olimp, with the new club called FC Olimp-Dolgoprudny. The Russian Football Union (russian: Российский Футбольный Союз, ''Rossiyskiy Futbolnyy Soyuz'' or RFS) is the official governing body of association football in the Russian Federation. With headquarters in Moscow, it organizes Russian amateur and professional football, including the men's, women's, youth, beach soccer, futsal and Paralympic national teams. FC Alania Vladikavkaz (russian: "Алания" (Владикавказ), os, Футболон клуб "Алани" (Дзæуджыхъæу)) is a Russian football team from Vladikavkaz. Founded in 1921, the club played in the Soviet Top League during the communist era, and won its first and only league title in the 1995 Russian Top League. Background Since the Russian football league system was established in 1992, the main team representing Vladikavkaz changed ownership structure several times, also changing the team name from FC Spartak Vladikavkaz to FC Spartak-Alania and FC Alania and back to Spartak. RIA Novosti (russian: РИА Новости), sometimes referred to as RIAN () or RIA (russian: РИА, label=none) is a Russian state-owned domestic news agency. The Russian Second League (russian: Первенство России II дивизиона ФНЛ), formerly Russian Professional Football League is the third level of Russian professional football. History In 1998–2010, it was run by the Professional Football League.
