FC Oberneuland Bremen von 1948 is a German association football club from the Oberneuland quarter of Bremen, founded on 13 April 1948 in the local inn ''Zum Dorfkrug'' as ''Fußball-Club Oberneuland von 1948''. In addition to football, the club has departments for basketball and gymnastics. __TOC__ History For most of its history FC Oberneuland played as a lower-tier local side until breaking out in the early 1990s and rising rapidly through a series of title wins. The Bremen-Liga, sometimes also referred to as ''Oberliga Bremen'', is a fifth tier of the German football league system and the highest league in the German state Free Hanseatic City of Bremen. It is one of fourteen Oberligas in German football, the fifth tier of the German football league system. Overview 1947–1963 The league was formed in 1947 as Amateurliga Bremen by thirteen clubs, including four from outside the city-state, in the newly recreated state Free Hanseatic City of Bremen which was then part of the US occupation zone in Germany. The Free Hanseatic City of Bremen and its football association are the smallest in Germany. The state is actually separated in two halves, the cities of Bremen and Bremerhaven are split by the state of Lower Saxony. The Landesliga Bremen is the sixth tier of the German football league system and the second-highest league in the Germany, German States of Germany, state of Bremen, below the ''Bremen-Liga''. Overview The ''Landesliga Bremen'' is the second-highest level of play in Bremen. Traditionally, the league is set below the ''Verbandsliga Bremen''. With the ''Oberliga Nord'' being dissolved in 2008, the ''Verbandsliga'' was renamed ''Bremen-Liga''. This however did not change anything in regards of the ''Landesliga''. Torsten Gütschow
Torsten Gütschow (born 28 July 1962) is a German football manager and former player who played as a striker. He is most associated with Dynamo Dresden, with whom he had two successful spells, playing top level football in East Germany and after reunification. In between these he played for three other German clubs, and spent six months with Galatasaray of the Turkish Süper Lig. A strong and instinctive goalscorer, Gütschow was top scorer in each of the last three seasons of the DDR-Oberliga, and was the last East German Footballer of the Year. He won three international caps for East Germany, scoring two goals between 1984 and 1989. Since retiring he has taken up coaching, and has been manager of TuS Heeslingen. Playing career In East Germany Gütschow played as a youth for Traktor Zodel and Dynamo Görlitz, before joining Dynamo Dresden in 1976. Mike Barten (born 20 November 1973) is a German football coach and a former player. Managerial career Early career In 2008, Barten worked as head coach for FC Oberneuland. In June 2012, it was announced he would manage lower league side TSV Blau-Weiß Melchiorshausen in the 2012–13 season. He remained at the club till 2014. 2012–13 Regionalliga
The 2012–13 Regionalliga was the fifth season of the Regionalliga as the fourth tier of the German football league system. From this season onwards, the structure of this tier has changed. The three division format administrated by the German FA has been replaced by five leagues, each of which is administrated by its respective regional FA. Additionally, the leagues will be structured on geographical affiliation, in contrast to the partially arbitrary divisional alignment. League champions will qualify for a promotion play-off. Additionally, the Regionalliga Südwest runners-up will qualify. 2021–22 Regionalliga
The 2021–22 Regionalliga is the 14th season of the Regionalliga, the tenth under the new format, as the fourth tier of the German football league system. Format According to the promotion rules decided upon in 2019, the Regionalliga Südwest and West receive a direct promotion spot. Based on a rotation principle, the Regionalliga Bayern receives the third direct promotion spot this season, while the Regionalliga Nord and Nordost champions will play a promotion play-off. Regionalliga Nord 21 teams from the states of Bremen, Hamburg, Lower Saxony and Schleswig-Holstein will compete in the tenth season of the reformed Regionalliga Nord.
