FC Maritsa Plovdiv
Maritsa ( bg, Марица) is a Bulgarian association football club based in Plovdiv, that plays in the Second League, the second level of Bulgarian football league system. It was established in 1921, after the merger of the teams Vampir and Trite Konski Sili. The club plays its home games at Maritsa Stadium, located in the city's northern district. The team's biggest success is playing in Bulgaria's top division four times, in 1967–68, 1969–70, 1970–71 and 1996-97. They have also reached the semifinals of the Bulgarian Cup once, in 1996–97. Profesionalen Futbolen Klub Botev, commonly referred to as Botev Plovdiv ( bg, „Ботев“ Пловдив, ) or simply Botev (within its associated city), is a Bulgarian professional football club based in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, that competes in the Bulgarian Parva Liga, the top flight of Bulgarian football. Yordan Todorov ( bg, Йордан Тодоров; born 27 July 1981, in Plovdiv) is a Bulgarian footballer who currently plays for German club ESV Regensburg. Mainly a right midfielder, he can also operate as a right back. Career Youth career Todorov was raised in Maritsa Plovdiv's youth teams. He stayed there for 7 years, before he left in 2000. Krasimir Chomakov ( bg, Красимир Чомаков; born 8 June 1977 in Plovdiv) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as a midfielder. Career Chomakov is a former Bulgarian international and played with Maritsa Plovdiv, CSKA Sofia, Ravenna and Lecce. In 2002, after a short spell at Greek side Panionios, he opted to return to Italy and signed for then-Serie D club Boca San Lazzaro, where he played in a more attacking role, scoring 5 goals in 5 seasons (four in Serie D, plus one in Serie C2). Kostadin Todorov Vidolov ( bg, Костадин Тодоров Видолов; born 2 May 1970) is a Bulgarian former professional footballer who played as a midfielder. Georgi Kostadinov Georgiev ( bg, Георги Костадинов Георгиев) (born 10 January 1963) is a Bulgarian retired footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He was part of the Bulgaria national team that reached the semi-finals of the 1994 World Cup. Club career Georgiev started his career in Maritsa at the age of 17. Aleksandar Aleksandrov ( bg, Александър Александров; born 19 January 1975 in Plovdiv) is a former Bulgarian footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. Dinko Tsvetkov Dermendzhiev ( bg, Динко Цветков Дерменджиев; 2 June 1941 – 1 May 2019), nicknamed Chico was a Bulgarian footballer and coach. Club career Dinko Dermendzhiev began his youth career in Maritsa Plovdiv. Initially, he played as a goalkeeper, although later he would be famed as a skillful and elegant forward. FC Etar (Veliko Tarnovo)
Football Club Etar, or FC ETAR Veliko Turnovo, (Bulgarian: ФК ЕТЪР Велико Търново), was a Bulgarian professional association football club from Veliko Tarnovo. Founded on 24 April 1924, the club spent most of its history in the Bulgarian A PFG. Their most successful period came under the management of Georgi Vasilev, between 1987 and 1992. Etar won the championship in 1990–91, which qualified the team for the 1991–92 European Cup, the first and only time Etar has played in the premier European competition. Beroe ( bg, Берое) is a Bulgarian professional association football club based in Stara Zagora, that competes in the First League, the top division of the Bulgarian football league system.
