The club was created in place of SKA Karpaty Lviv and amateur club Avanhard Drohobych on December 2, 1989 as SFC Drohobych. Drohobych appeared in the Ukrainian Cup in 1999-2000, when they made the 1/16 round, and 2000-01. In 2003 the club lost its professional status and competes in the Lviv Oblast Championship. Drohobych
Drohobych ( uk, Дрого́бич, ; pl, Drohobycz; yi, דראָהאָביטש;) is a city of regional significance in Lviv Oblast, Ukraine. It is the administrative center of Drohobych Raion and hosts the administration of Drohobych urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. In 1939–1941 and 1944–1959 it was the center of Drohobych Oblast. 2000–01 Ukrainian Second League Cup
The Ukrainian Second League Cup 2000–01 was the second edition of Second League Cup competition designated exclusively for clubs of the Second League. It was organized as a qualification tournament for the Ukrainian Cup with only the finalist advancing to the national cup competition. The Cup started with a qualification round on July 29, 2000 and consisted of 12 pairs. The previous year's winner Borysfen Boryspil did not compete, while the finalist Kherson was eliminated in the qualification round by Tytan Armyansk. Unlike the previous year's edition all rounds consisted of a single match. The first round started on August 6. The best four teams qualified for the main event and later continued with this tournament from the semi-final stage. In the Ukrainian Cup the qualified teams Sokil and Polissya managed to make it to the second round, while Mashynobudivnyk was eliminated in the first. 1999–2000 Ukrainian Second League Cup
The Ukrainian Second League Cup 1999–00 was the first edition of Second League Cup competition designated exclusively for clubs of the Second League. It was organized as a qualification tournament for the Ukrainian Cup with only the finalist advancing to the national cup competition. The Cup started with a qualification round on August 18, 1999, and consisted of 11 pairs. The winner of that round was identified by a single game and advancing to the first round of competition. The first round started on September 1. From the first round and all the way to the final teams played a home-away elimination type tournament. The best two teams faced off after qualifying for the main event. Both Borysfen and Kherson were eliminated in the second round of the Ukrainian Cup with a big margin on March 29, 2000.
