FC Flora II
FC Flora U21 is an Estonian football team based in Tallinn, Estonia. It is the reserve team of Flora, and currently plays in Esiliiga. Reserve teams in Estonia play in the same league system as the senior team, rather than in a reserve team league. They must play at least one level below their main side. Flora (: floras or florae) is all the plant life present in a particular region or time, generally the naturally occurring (indigenous) native plants. The corresponding term for animals is ''fauna'', and for fungi, it is ''funga''. Sometimes bacteria and fungi are also referred to as flora as in the terms ''gut flora'' or ''skin flora''. Etymology The word "flora" comes from the Latin name of Flora, the goddess of plants, flowers, and fertility in Roman mythology. Norbert Hurt
Norbert Hurt (born 16 April 1983) is an Estonian football coach. He is currently an assistant manager of Flora. Playing career Hurt started playing football with the Merkuur in Tartu and continued with the Tammeka Football Academy. In 2012, he joined II liiga club HÃœJK Emmaste. In the following year, Emmaste was promoted to the newly established Esiliiga B division. Hurt left Emmaste in 2014 to pursue his coaching career. Managerial career In 2009, Tammeka hired Hurt as manager for the 2009 season. Since 2011, Hurt coached Flora's reserve team Flora II. On 20 July 2013, he replaced the sacked Flora manager Marko Lelov as caretaker manager, with position being made permanent later. Flora finished the 2013 season in fourth place and placed third in 2014. In 2015, as Flora celebrated their 25th anniversary as a club, Hurt coached the team to their 10th Meistriliiga trophy, securing the league title in the 34th round of the season. 2015 Esiliiga
The 2015 Esiliiga was the 25th season of the Esiliiga, second-highest Estonian league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1992. The season started on 8 March 2015 and concluded on 8 November 2015. Flora II won the league on the last day of the season, finishing with 72 points. It was their second league title. Tarvas finished 4th and were promoted to the Meistriliiga for the first time in their history. Tallinna Kalev finished 6th and qualified to the promotion play-offs but were beaten by Tammeka 2–4 on aggregate. Santos finished 8th but avoided the relegation play-offs after Sillamäe Kalev II withdrew. Vaprus and Kuressaare were the bottom two teams and were relegated to the Esiliiga B. 2014 Esiliiga
The 2014 Esiliiga was the 24th season of the Esiliiga. The season started on Sunday 2 March 2014, and concluded on Sunday 9 November 2014. Flora II Tallinn won the Esiliiga, finishing with 78 points. Teams A total of 10 teams contested the league, including 7 teams from the 2013 season. The 2013 runners-up Lokomotiv Jõhvi were promoted to Meistriliiga, while 9th place Puuma Tallinn and 10th place Irbis Kiviõli escaped relegation due to dissolving of 5th place Tartu SK 10 and 6th place Tammeka II Tartu. For this season those three teams will be replaced by the Meistriliiga relegated Kuressaare and Esiliiga B promoted Nõmme Kalju II and Pärnu Linnameeskond. Jürgen Henn (born 2 June 1987) is an Estonian football manager who is the current head coach of Meistriliiga club Flora. Esiliiga
The Esiliiga is the second division in the Estonian football league system. The Esiliiga is ranked below the Meistriliiga and above the Esiliiga B. As in most countries with low temperatures in winter time, the season starts in March and ends in November. The league features several reserve teams of Meistriliiga clubs. According to the rules set by the Estonian Football Association, reserve teams are ineligible for promotion to the Meistriliiga, but can play in the Estonian Cup. Competition format During the season, the teams play each of the other four times, twice at home and twice away. This makes for a total of 36 games played each season. The teams gain three points for a win, one for a draw, and none for a defeat. Promotion and relegation between divisions is a central feature of the league.
