FC Emmenbrücke
FC Emmenbrücke are a Swiss football team with its home in the city of Emmen, currently playing in the Swiss 1. Liga (football), the fourth highest tier in the Swiss football pyramid. The club was formed in 1921. Their best result in the younger history was the 4th position in the Swiss 1. Liga at the end of the 2008/2009 season. History FC Emmenbrücke was founded in 1921 in the area of Littau with the idea of separating from an already existing football club in Emmen. Yellow and black were chosen as the club colours in reference to BSC Young Boys. The main problem was finding a suitable playing field. The games were first played in Reussbühl, then from 1923 on a plot of scattered land in the Mooshüsli area in Emmen, and then again in exile until 1947, this time in Littau. Stadion Gersag is a stadium in Emmenbrücke, Luzern, Switzerland. It is currently used for football matches and is the home ground of FC Emmenbrücke. The stadium has 3,195 covered seats and 4,785 standing places. It is the home stadium of FC Emmenbrücke and from 2009-2011 has been the temporary stadium of FC Luzern whilst their home stadium, the Swissporarena, is built. FC Luzern supporters enjoyed their time in the stadium, even naming it as the 5th best thing about supporting the club and so have made a scarf as a tribute to their time there. Renens FC
Renens ( ) is a municipality in the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. It is located in the district of Ouest Lausannois, and is a suburb of the city of Lausanne. It is the fourth largest city in the canton. It is considered a very multiethnic town, as more than 50% of the inhabitants are resident foreign nationals from about a hundred different countries. History Renens is first mentioned around 888-896 as ''in villa Runingis''. Neolithic tombs (near Bourdonnette) and a necropolis from the High Middle Ages (near Caudrey) have been discovered in the town. In the Middle Ages Renens was owned by the cathedral chapter of Lausanne which created a prebend there between 1233 and 1303. In 1555 Claude de Praroman exchanged his old Vuarrens prebend with Bern against that of Renens for which he obtained the lordship rights. Swissporarena
Swissporarena is a multi-use stadium in Lucerne, Switzerland, completed in 2011. It is used mostly for football matches and hosts the home matches of FC Luzern of the Swiss Super League. The stadium has a capacity of 16,800 spectators, including an away fans' section fitted with 390 rail seats for safe standing. It replaced the demolished Stadion Allmend. The stadium was due to open earlier in the year but several problems during construction changed the plans. In February 2011 the club announced the new season ticket prices for their return home. The stadium held its first match, a 0–0 against FC Thun on 31 July 2011. Zug 94 is a Swiss association football, football team based in Zug, in the Canton of Zug which competes in the 1. Liga Classic, 1. Liga. It was formed in 1994 after a merger between SC Zug and FC Zug. During the summer of 1983, Ottmar Hitzfeld signed his first coaching contract with the former SC Zug, at that time in the second tier of Swiss football. The team ended the 1983–84 season as Nationalliga B champions. Thus Hitzfeld and his team achieved immediate promotion to the Swiss Super League, Nationalliga A, for the first and only time in the clubs history. Emmen is a village and municipality in the district of Hochdorf in the canton of Lucerne in Switzerland. The municipality Emmen consists of the village Emmen, the town Emmenbrücke, and several hamlets. History Emmen is first mentioned in 840 as ''Emau'' in a document of King Lothair I of Bavaria.For centuries the region was ruled by the Murbach Abbey in Vosges.
