FC Electroputere Craiova
FC Caracal was a Romanian professional football club from Caracal, Olt County, Romania. History The club was founded in Craiova in 1949 under the name of Metalul Craiova. It had various names during its history (see below), but the name which made it famous was Electroputere Craiova. As Extensiv Craiova it played its last season in Liga I. In the middle of the 2003–04 season, Extensiv changed its name to FC Craiova, but with no connection to the FC Craiova that existed between 1940–1949. In 2004 the club was moved to Caracal and renamed ''FC Caracal''. After years of poor management and bad decisions, in 2013 the club was dissolved. UEFA Europa League
The UEFA Europa League (abbreviated as UEL, or sometimes, UEFA EL), formerly the UEFA Cup, is an annual football club competition organised since 1971 by the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) for eligible European football clubs. It is the second-tier competition of European club football, ranking below the UEFA Champions League and above the UEFA Europa Conference League. The UEFA Cup was the third-tier competition from 1971 to 1999 before the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup was discontinued, and it is still often referred to as the “C3” in reference of this. 2012–13 Liga III
The 2012–13 Liga III season is the 57th season of the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. Day one was played on August 31, 2012 and the last round was played on May 30, 2013. The first team in each series will promote at the end of the season to the Liga II, and the teams that finish 10-16 will relegate to the Liga IV. From the teams that finish 9th, another three are relegated, but separate standings are computed, only results against teams that finished 1-8 are taken into consideration. This season was close to a disaster, only 78 teams registered, although 96 spots were available (6x16), thus 18 spots remained unoccupied. From the 78, 5 withdrew from the championship during the first half, CSO Plopeni, Sevișul Șelimbăr, Oltchim Râmnicu Vâlcea, FCM Huși and FC Cisnădie, thus 73 remained in the tables. 2008–09 Liga III
The 2008–09 Liga III season was the 53rd season of Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football league system. The winners of each division got promoted to the 2009–10 Liga II season. There were also two playoff tournaments held at neutral venues involving the second placed teams, one with those from series 1, 2 and 3, the other with those from series 4, 5, and 6. The winners of the playoffs also got promoted to the 2009–10 Liga II season. The bottom three from each division were relegated at the end of the season to the Liga IV. From the 15th placed teams, another three were relegated. To determine these teams, separate standings were computed, using only the games played against clubs ranked 1st through 14th.
