FC Dnyapro Mogilev ( be, ФК Дняпро Магілёў; russian: ФК Дняпро Могилёв) was a Belarusian football club from Mogilev. Their home stadium is Spartak Stadium. History Dnyapro Mogilev was founded in early 2019 as a result of merger between Dnepr Mogilev and Luch Minsk. The united club inherited Luch's Premier League spot and licence, their sponsorships and most of the squad, while keeping only a few of Dnepr players and relocating to Mogilev. Dnepr and Luch continued its participation in youth tournaments independently from each other. 2019 Belarusian Premier League
The 2019 Belarusian Premier League was the 29th season of top-tier football in Belarus. BATE Borisov were the defending champions, having won their 13th consecutive league title and 15th overall last year. Dynamo Brest won the Belarusian Premier League title for the first time, ending the BATE Borisov streak. Teams The bottom two teams from the 2018 season (Smolevichi and Dnepr Mogilev) were relegated to the 2019 Belarusian First League. The Belarusian Premier League or the Vyšejšaja Liha or the Vysheyshaya Liga ( be, Вышэйшая ліга, russian: Высшая лига, "Top League") is the top division of professional football in Belarus, and is organized by the Belarusian Football Federation. The number of teams in the competition has varied over the years from as high as 17 (1992–93 season) to as low as 11 (2012). As of 2016, the league included 16 teams. Each team plays every other team twice during the course of the season. At the end of the season, the two teams with the fewest points are automatically relegated to the Belarusian First League, while the third worst team plays a promotion-relegation playoff against the third best team from the second tier. History Dnepr Mogilev was founded in 1960 under the name Khimik Mogilev and began playing in the Class B (second tier league) of Soviet championship, which at the time consisted of over 140 teams split into several regional zones. In 1963, the team relegated to the third tier due to league structure reorganization and changed their name to Spartak Mogilev. In 1970, they dropped to the fourth tier, but the next year were brought back to the third, both times due to further league reorganizations.
