FC Dnipro-75 Dnipropetrovsk
FC Dnipro-75 Dnipropretrovsk is a youth football school of Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. History In late 2000s as a professional football team based in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine it competed at the Ukrainian Second League, but was expelled from the PFL after not paying the spring 2010 playing dues. Dnipro-75 Dnipropretrovsk entered the professional competition in 2008. The team grew from their successful youth sports school that was opened in 1975. The team became sponsored by the building company ''DYK'' which invested in forming a professional team in Dnipropetrovsk. Dnipro-75 Dnipropetrovsk competed in the Druha Liha B. Meteor Stadium () is a multi-purpose stadium in Dnipro, Ukraine. It is part of the Sports Complex Meteor and is a home of the Olympic and Paralympic teams of Ukraine with status ''national''. Overview It is used for various Olympic sports and football matches, and for quite some time was the home of FC Dnipro. The stadium can hold 24,381 people. It has lighting 1,200 lux. The main city club FC Dnipro relocated to Dnipro Stadium (which was built in place of the old Metalurh Stadium) after a long spell at the Meteor in 1966-2008. Football Club Dnipro ( uk, Футбо́льний Клуб «Дніпро́», ) was a Ukrainian football club based in Dnipro. The club was owned by the Privat Group that also owns BC Dnipro and Budivelnyk Kyiv. In 2018 FC Dnipro was forced into bankruptcy by FIFA due to multiple legal claims for failing to pay its promised monetary compensation to players and managers. During the Soviet era, the club was a member of the Soviet Volunteer Sports Society "Metallurg" (therefore it carried names Metallurg/Metalurh and Stal) and until 1961 was under sponsorship of the Petrovsky Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Plant. FC Dnipro-2 () was the reserve team of FC Dnipro. History The club initially competed in the Dnipropetrovsk Oblast competition as FC Dnipro-2 Dnipropetrovsk . The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game).
