FC Bolat
FC Shakhter-Bulat ( kk, Шахтер–Болат футбол клубы, Shakhter–Bolat fýtbol klýby) is a Kazakhstani Football (soccer), football club based in Temirtau. It was previously known as FC Bolat CSKA (2004) and FC Bolat MSK(2005). It currently plays as the farm club of FC Shakhter Karagandy, Shakhter Karagandy. History Formed as Metallurg, the club was known as Stroitel between 1969 and 1977 before adopting their current name. They were a leading side in the Soviet-era game, winning the Kazakh SSR Cup seven times, including five consecutive triumphs between 1972 and 1976. Initially the club transferred their status to the independent Kazakhstan, and were founding members of the Kazakhstan Super League. However, barring a 7th-place finish in 1994, they were one of the weaker sides and were relegated to the Kazakhstan First Division in 1998. Temirtau
Temirtau ( kz, Теміртау, translit=Temırtau; russian: Темиртау) is a city in the Karaganda Region of Kazakhstan. The population was 170,481 in the 1999 census, rising to 210,590 in 2015. The city is located on the Nura River (the Samarkand Reservoir), northwest of Karaganda. History The first groups of settlers to settle in the area were 40 families from Samara (see Stolypin reform), who settled on the left bank of the Nura River on 15 June 1905. The settlement they founded was named Zhaur (''Жаур''), after a hill on the other side of the river. In 1909 the settlement was renamed Samarkandsky (''Самаркандский'', or Samarkand for short). The first school and the first hospital were built in 1911. In 1933 the Samarkandsky-Karaganda water conduit was built to facilitate the development of the Karaganda coal field. Igor Aleksandrovich Soloshenko (russian: Игорь Александрович Солошенко; born 22 May 1979) is a Kazakh football coach and a former defender. Career Born in Karagandy, Soloshenko started his career in Shakhter Karagandy in 1996, then played for FC Zhenis, FC Shakhter for a second time, FC Ayat and FC Tobol.
