FC Barcelona C
Futbol Club Barcelona "C" was a Spanish football team that folded on 2 July 2007. The youth team of FC Barcelona, it played its home games at the Mini Estadi. Founded in 1967 as ''Barcelona Amateur'', it adopted the name ''FC Barcelona C'' in 1993. Unlike the English League, youth teams in Spain play in the same football pyramid as their senior team rather than a separate league. However youth and reserve teams cannot play in the same division as their senior teams. FC Barcelona C last played in the fourth division. They were ineligible for promotion to the third level, as FC Barcelona B were playing in that category. Club president Joan Laporta chose not to inscribe the team in ''Primera Catalana'' for 2007–08, after the B team dropped to the fourth level. Mini Estadi
Miniestadi (, meaning in English "Mini Stadium"), officially named "Miniestadi", was a football stadium in Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The 15,276-seat stadium was situated across from Camp Nou, the home stadium of FC Barcelona. The stadium was home to FC Barcelona B, FCB's reserve team, as well as their women's team and Juvenil A. The stadium is now replaced by the newly built Estadi Johan Cruyff, which was completed on 27 August 2019. Sporting use The stadium was home to FC Barcelona B, the reserve side of the famous Catalan club, until they moved to Estadi Johan Cruyff in the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper sports complex for the 2019-20 season. The stadium was also home to FC Barcelona C until July 2007, when they disbanded. It was also home to the Barcelona Dragons, an NFL Europe American football team, until they were disbanded in 2003. The Copa Catalunya (''Catalonia Cup'') is a knockout competition organised by the Catalan Football Federation for football clubs in the Catalonia autonomous community of Spain. History Between 1903 and 1940, it was known as the '' Championship of Catalonia'', and enjoyed great prestige and interest at a time where La Liga did not exist. The club that won the title participated with other regional champions in the ''Spanish Cup'', which until the beginning of La Liga in 1929 was the most important tournament in Spanish football. The Championship of Catalonia football was prohibited from taking place after 1940 by Francoist Spain.
