Bakhmach
Bakhmach ( uk, Бахмач, lit=plantations, ) is a city located in Nizhyn Raion of Chernihiv Oblast (province), in northern Ukraine. It hosts the administration of Bakhmach urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. It has a population of History Bakhmach was first mentioned in 1147 in the Hypatian Codex. Rapid development began in the 1860s and 1870s when the Libau–Romny Railway line nearby was under construction. The Battle of Bakhmach () was fought between the Czech legion in Russia, and German forces occupying Ukraine. Following a Legion victory, the Germans negotiated a truce. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The competition involves all professional clubs plus the two finalists of the Ukrainian Amateur Cup (since 2011). 1996–97 Ukrainian Football Amateur League
1996–97 Amateur championship of Ukraine was the fifth amateur championship of Ukraine and the 33rd since the establishment of championship among fitness clubs (KFK) in 1964. The format of competitions was preserved as in the Soviet competitions where winner of six regional groups advanced to the final (second) stage. First stage competitions were played in double round robin format where each team played with others four times. There were total of 33 teams competing. Final stage was introduced this season for group winners to identify the champion of the league. 1997–98 Ukrainian Cup
The Ukrainian Cup 1997–98 was the seventh annual edition of Ukraine, Ukraine's association football, football knockout competition since the country's independence. This edition of the Cup started with a preliminary round of few pairs and three qualification knockout rounds before the first round of the competition. Two legs rounds were extended to the main portion of competition as well as some qualification rounds. Amateur clubs were represented by the winner of Ukrainian Amateur Cup only.
