FBC White Star are a Peruvian football club based in Arequipa, Arequipa Region. The women's football department of the club won the national league in 2009, and competed in that season's Copa Libertadores. History The club is recognized in Arequipa as one of the five "big" teams together with FBC Piérola, Sportivo Huracán, FBC Melgar and FBC Aurora, despite they being the only one of these that has failed to participate in the First Division. Foot Ball Club Aurora is a Peruvian football club, playing in the city of Arequipa, Peru. The club were founded 1916 and play in the Copa Perú which is the third division of the Peruvian league. History The club have played at the highest level of Peruvian football on three occasions, from 1988 Torneo Descentralizado until 1991 Torneo Descentralizado when was relegated. Copa Libertadores De Fútbol Femenino
The CONMEBOL Libertadores Femenina, named as "Copa Libertadores Femenina" ( pt, Copa Libertadores Feminina or Taça Libertadores Feminina) is an annual international women's association football club competition in South America. It is organized by the South American Football Federation (CONMEBOL). The competition started in the 2009 season in response to the increased interest in women's football. It is the only CONMEBOL club competition for women. The tournament is the women's version of the Copa Libertadores, which is organized since 1960. Foot Ball Club Melgar, known simply as FBC Melgar or Melgar, is a Peruvian Association football, football club based in Arequipa, Peru. It is one of Peru's oldest football teams, founded on 25 March 1915 by a group of football enthusiasts from Arequipa. The team first participated in the Peruvian Primera División, Peruvian football league in 1919 in Lima and later was invited to the first true National football league, the Torneo Descentralizado, in 1966 Torneo Descentralizado, 1966, when four teams from the provinces were invited to join the league. The Estadio Melgar is a multi-use stadium in Arequipa, Peru. Its primary use is to host football (soccer), football games for Peruvian First Division team FBC Melgar and Peruvian Segunda Division team Sportivo Huracán and Copa Perú teams Senati FBC, FBC Aurora and FBC White Star. The stadium has a seating capacity of 15,000 and includes a running track for track and field events. It was named after Mariano Melgar, a Peruvian patriot and poet from Arequipa. Sportivo Huracán is a Peruvian football club, based in the city of Arequipa, Peru. The club was founded on January 12, 1927. Sportivo Huracán now plays in the Copa Perú, which is the third division of the Peruvian league after deciding to no longer participate in the Peruvian Segunda División. History The club was the 1973 Copa Perú champion, defeating Cienciano, Colegio Nacional Iquitos, and Octavio Espinoza de Ica in the process.
