Făget (; hu, Facsád; german: Fatschet) is a town in Timiș County, Romania, with a population of about 7,500. The town administers ten villages: Bătești, Begheiu Mic, Bichigi, Brănești, Bunea Mare, Bunea Mică (depopulated), Colonia Mică, Jupânești, Povârgina and Temerești. Name Its name literally means "beech forest" in Romanian. Geography Făget is located in the southwest of Romania, in the contact area of the Lugoj Plain with the Lugoj Hills, on the upper course of the Bega River. Within Timiș County, it is located in its eastern part, 98 km from Timișoara and 33 km from Lugoj, to which it is connected by the national road 68A. Valea Lungă (formerly ''Hususău''; german: Langenthal, hu, Hosszúaszó) is a commune located in Alba County, Transylvania, Romania. Is composed of six villages: Făget (''Oláhbükkös''), Glogoveț (''Kisgalgóc''), Lodroman (''Lodormány''), Lunca (''Küküllőlonka''), Tăuni (''Hosszúpatak'') and Valea Lungă. Ghimeș-Făget ( hu, Gyimesbükk, pronounced: , or sometimes ''Nagy-Gyimes'') is a commune in Bacău County, Romania. It is the only commune in the county that lies in the historical region of Transylvania. The Făget mine is a large mine in the northwest of Romania in Rodna, Bistrița-Năsăud County, 50 km southwest of Bistriţa and 699 km north-west of the capital, Bucharest.
