The third cabinet of Thorbjörn Fälldin ( sv, Regeringen Fälldin III) was the cabinet and Government of Sweden from 22 May 1981 to 8 October 1982. The cabinet was a coalition minority government consisting of the Centre Party and the Liberal People's Party. Thorbjörn Fälldin
Nils Olof Thorbjörn Fälldin (24 April 1926 – 23 July 2016) was a Swedish politician. He was Prime Minister of Sweden in three non-consecutive cabinets from 1976 to 1982, and leader of the Swedish Centre Party from 1971 to 1985. On his first appointment in 1976, he was the first non-Social Democrat Prime Minister for 40 years and the first since the 1930s not to have worked as a professional politician since his teens. He was also the last Prime Minister to not be from the Social Democrats or Moderate Party. Early life Fälldin was born in Högsjö parish, Ångermanland, the son of the farmer Nils Johan Fälldin and his wife Hulda (née Olsson). The deputy prime minister of Sweden ( sv, Ställföreträdande statsminister) is the deputy head of government of Sweden. The incumbent deputy prime minister is Ebba Busch. The Swedish constitution allows the prime minister to appoint one of the ministers in the cabinet as deputy prime minister ( sv, ställföreträdande statsminister, sometimes unofficially known as ''vice statsminister''), in case the prime minister for some reason is prevented from performing his or her duties. Karin Söder
Karin Ann-Marie Söder (née Bergenfur; 30 November 1928 – 19 December 2015) was a Swedish Centre politician. She was the first woman in Sweden to be elected the leader of a major political party. She headed the Swedish Centre Party from 1985 to 1987. She was also one of the first female foreign ministers in the world. Biography Söder was born in Frykerud in Kil Municipality, Värmland. Having graduated from secondary school in Gothenburg, she studied in Falun, and worked as a teacher, first in Värmland and later in Täby, north of Stockholm, where she was a member of the local council from 1963 to 1971. Carl Axel Petri
Carl Axel ("Acke") Henrik Petri (12 August 1929 – 3 December 2017) was a Swedish politician and judge. Petri studied law and assumed the chief judgeship in the Administrative Court of Appeal in Jönköping in 1976, then stepped down to become chief justice on the Göta Court of Appeal in 1987, on which he served until 1996. Jan-Erik Wikström
Jan-Erik Wikström (born 11 September 1932) is a Swedish publisher and politician, who served as Minister for Education between 1976 and 1982. His father, Börje Wikström, was a pastor in the Swedish Evangelical Mission (EFS) and his mother, Essy Wikström, was an elementary school teacher. Wikström was head of the publishing house Gummessons from 1963 to 1976. He was elected into the Swedish Parliament in 1970, representing the People's Party (subsequently the Liberals). He became Minister for Education in the Fälldin I Cabinet in 1976, and remained on that post in the cabinets Fälldin II, Ullsten and Fälldin III, with a brief stint as acting Minister of Commerce and Industry in 1981. Rolf Wirtén (born 4 May 1931) is a Swedish politician who held various ministerial posts, including the minister of economics and the budget, in the 1970s and 1980s. Biography Wirtén was born on 4 May 1931. He was a member of the Liberals. In 1978 he was named the minister for gender equality and the minister of immigration.
