Funke Adeoye
Funke Adeoye is a Nigerianinternational human rights lawyer, social entrepreneur, Young Global Leader, and founder of Hope Behind Bars Africa. Funke established Nigeria's first social enterprise focused on reducing recidivism by providing vocational and educational skills to women and young people in prisons. She was the first Waislitz Award winner on criminal justice issues Early life Funke Adeoye was born in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, and grew up in Lagos. She obtained an LLB from the University of Benin (Nigeria) and an MSc in International Human Rights Law from the University of Oxford. Róbert Ragnar Spanó
Róbert Ragnar Spanó (born 27 August 1972) is an Icelandic-Italian jurist, judge, and former president of the European Court of Human Rights. He has been a partner at the multinational law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher since the end of this tenure as president of the court in October 2022. Future Africa Leaders Award
The Future Africa Leaders Award (FALA) is an annual prize awarded to 10 African youths who have contributed significantly in their local communities through innovation, societal education on local and global issues, developing solutions to combat societal issues, advocacy, social education and societal awareness. Each winner is given a grant of 10,000 USD and an outstanding winner among the 10 is given an additional 25,000 USD. The Nigeria Police Force is the principal law enforcement and the lead security agency in Nigeria. It was designated by the 1999 constitution as the national police of Nigeria, with exclusive jurisdiction throughout the country. As at 2021, it had a staff strength of about 371,800.
