Fung Yuen
Fung Yuen () is an area and a village located northwest of Tolo Harbour, in Tai Po, Tai Po District, Hong Kong. Administration Fung Yuen is a recognized village under the New Territories Small House Policy. For electoral purposes, it is part of the Hong Lok Yuen (constituency), Hong Lok Yuen constituency of the Tai Po District Council. It was formerly represented by Zero Yiu Yeuk-sang, who was elected in the 2019 Hong Kong local elections, local elections until May 2021. 2019 Hong Kong Local Elections
The 2019 Hong Kong District Council elections were held on 24 November 2019 for all 18 District Councils of Hong Kong. 452 seats from all directly elected constituencies, out of the 479 seats in total, were contested. Nearly three million people voted, equivalent to 71 per cent of registered voters, an unprecedented turnout in the electoral history of Hong Kong. A Site of Special Scientific Interest () or SSSI is a special area to protect wildlife, habitats and geographic features based on scientific interest in Hong Kong. Scientific interests are special features relating to animal life, plant life, geology and/or geography. After being identified by the Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department, these areas are documented by the Planning Department and added to maps. Royal Asiatic Society Hong Kong Branch is an organisation to encourage interest in Asia broadly, with an emphasis on Hong Kong. The society was founded in 1847 and folded 1859. It was revived on December 28, 1959. Its parent association is the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland. Antiquities Advisory Board
The Antiquities Advisory Board (AAB) is a statutory body of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with the responsibility of advising the Antiquities Authority on any matters relating to antiquities and monuments. The AAB was established in 1976 along with the Antiquities and Monuments Office (AMO) when the Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) was enacted, and comprises members appointed by the Chief Executive. The corresponding governmental ministry is the Development Bureau, and executive support for the AAB is provided by the AMO which is under the Development Bureau. Formation The Antiquities and Monuments Ordinance (Cap. 53) was passed in 1971. However, the Ordinance was not "give life" and the AAB was not constituted until February of 1977. Fung Mei Wai
Fung Mei Wai (), formerly Kau Shi Wai (, literally ''dog shit walled (village)''), is a village in Fung Yuen, Tai Po, Hong Kong. Administration Fung Mei Wai is one of the villages represented within the Tai Po Rural Committee. For electoral purposes, Fung Mei Wai is part of the Hong Lok Yuen constituency, which was formerly represented by Zero Yiu Yeuk-sang until May 2021. Name change In 2013, the Lands Department's Geographical Place Names Board recommended changing the name of the village. The proposal followed a letter from a Tai Po Fung Yuen village representative, who complained that Kau Shi Wai () was indecent and could cause embarrassment. The Tai Po District Council voted in favour of the name change by 10 votes to 0, with 5 abstentions. The new name, Fung Mei Wai (), was officially adopted in January 2014.
