"Funeral Song (The Resurrection)" (originally simple "Funeral Song") is a power ballad by Finnish rock band The Rasmus, originally released on the band's fifth album ''Dead Letters'' on 21 March 2003. It was a number-two hit on the Finnish singles chart. The single was released on 25 April 2004 by the record label Playground Music Scandinavia. It was the fourth single from the album ''Dead Letters'' and features the B-side, "If You Ever". The maxi single also includes "Everything You Say". The Rasmus
The Rasmus is a Finnish rock band that formed in 1994 in Helsinki while the band members were in upper comprehensive school.Main source of the band's history: The original band members were Lauri Ylönen (lead singer-songwriter), Eero Heinonen (bass), Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar) and Jarno Lahti (drums). Jarno Lahti left the year after and was replaced by Janne Heiskanen in 1995. Heiskanen quit the band in 1999 and was soon replaced by Aki Hakala. Pauli Rantasalmi left the band and was replaced by female guitarist Emilia "Emppu" Suhonen in 2022. Lauri Johannes Ylönen (born 23 April 1979) is a Finnish singer-songwriter, best known as the co-founder and frontman of the Finland, Finnish alternative rock musical ensemble, band The Rasmus. Biography The Rasmus When he and Heinonen started at Suutarila high school in the early 1990s, they met Pauli Rantasalmi and later Janne Heiskanen. Ylönen initiated the project of The Rasmus (then called just "Rasmus") in 1994, along with Eero Heinonen (bass guitar, bass) Pauli Rantasalmi (guitar), and Jarno Lahti (Drum kit, drums), with Lahti subsequently being replaced by Heiskanen.
