Fuck The Facts Discography
This is a discography of Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. Studio albums It is debatable which is the "first" Fuck the Facts full length album. At different times, the band has referred to both the self-titled tape, and the ''Discoing the Dead'' CD-R as the first. Their older website states that the self-titled release is the first ''recording''. This discrepancy is most likely because ''Discoing the Dead'' was the first Fuck the Facts release (including the splits released at that time) ''not'' on cassette. Additionally, ''Escunta'' was released almost a year and a half after it was recorded. Its style is more noise oriented (like ''Vagina Dancer'') and it sometimes gets forgotten in discography lists by sites not affiliated with the band. The list below reflects that all of these releases were considered the equivalent of "full length albums" at the time of their release, and were (and still are) considered official releases by the band. *2000: '' Fuck the F ...

Fuck The Facts
Fuck the Facts is a Canadian Juno-nominated, grindcore band from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, formed in 1998. They began as the solo recording project of musician Topon Das. Their earliest recording was in January 1997; they began using the name Fuck the Facts in 1998. After many early recordings, including split tapes with groups from around the world, Fuck the Facts began developing a name in the underground with fans of grind. In 2001, the first full-length CD-R, ''Discoing the Dead'', was recorded. The same year, Das would assemble a full band to continue with the project. The band has since coined the terms "bastardized grindcore" and "mullet-core" to describe their sound. History Formation (1998–2001) Fuck the Facts began early in 1997 as an unnamed recording project by Topon Das. The project remained nameless until featured on a compilation in 1998, when Topon decided on the name Fuck the Facts after a song from the first Naked City album. A self-titled cassette was releas ...

Relapse Records
Relapse Records is an American independent record label based in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. It was founded by Matthew F. Jacobson in 1990. The label features many grindcore, death metal, metalcore and sludge metal artists. History The label was started by Matthew F. Jacobson in August, 1990 in his parents' basement in Aurora, Colorado. The first two releases on the label were 7-inch singles by the bands Velcro Overdose and Face of Decline, closely followed by three death metal bands that would become among the biggest on the label, Deceased, Suffocation, and Incantation. After this, Jacobson became acquainted with William Yurkiewicz Jr., who became his partner in the record label. Yurkiewicz had founded his own record label, which was soon to release albums from the bands General Surgery, Disrupt, Destroy, Misery, and Yurkiewicz's own band Exit-13. The two joined forces to create Relapse Records, aiming to release high-quality, professionally packaged extreme music. In 1991, ...

The Wreaking
''The Wreaking'' is the third EP by Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. The EP was released on November 29, 2008, via the band's MySpace page and was strictly limited to 19 copies. When the 7" vinyl copies of the split with Pleasant Valley were sold out, there were still some copies of the sleeve, so the band created this EP. It comprises songs from a few different sources. The first two tracks are pre-production versions of songs found on '' Stigmata High-Five''. They were originally released on vinyl splits with Mesrine and Pleasant Valley. The other songs are live songs originally intended to be released on a split with Mincing Fury on Burning Dogma Records, however, the owner of the label went to jail before it could be released. "Taken From The Nest" and "The Wreaking" were recorded in Ottawa by Matt Connell in October and November 2005 respectively. The live tracks were recorded at a show on November 13, 2005, at Maverick's in Ottawa with Exhumed, Averse Sefira and Ecl ...

Legacy Of Hopelessness
''Legacy of Hopelessness'' is the second EP by Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. The drums and bass were recorded on November 12, 2004 at June Music Studio in Ottawa, ON. The remaining instruments and vocals were recorded in November and December 2004 at Fuck the Facts home studio (House of Fuck). The EP was mixed and mastered by Craig Boychuk at CB Audio in early 2005. This was initially planned to be a solo release by Topon Das, however, it was migrated over to Fuck the Facts after the band realized that another full-length album was not feasible at that time. As such, the EP tends to show more overt electronic influences than previous releases. In the UK, this EP was released without the enhanced tracks as an untitled split with Narcosis, Midget Parage and Archer on Privileged to Fail Records. A digital version of the EP was released in January 2011 and included a bonus track "Legacy of Hopelessness". Track listing Personnel *Topon Das – guitar, vocals, keyboards, ...

Four0ninE
''Four0ninE'' is the first EP by Canadian grindcore band Fuck the Facts. It was recorded in mid May 2001 by the band. It marks the first recordings with vocalist Brent Christoff, and the only recordings with bassist Shomir Das. It is the second release by Fuck the Facts as a band, the first being a split with Ames Sanglates. Days after the recording of this EP, Shomir left the band. Track listing Release Topon had been in contact with Mortuary I.O.D. for recording a split with another band he was in, Recondite. However, he was asked to leave Recondite before the release was finalized. Because he had been in contact with Mortuary I.O.D., he decided that Fuck the Facts would be on the split instead. Ultimately, the split was never released due to financial complications, so the band decided to release the songs on their own. It was released on 99 3" mini CD-Rs in August. It was re-released in 2003 on a split with Banzai 606 on First Aid Productions and again in 2005 as par ...

Noise Salvation
Noise is unwanted sound considered unpleasant, loud or disruptive to hearing. From a physics standpoint, there is no distinction between noise and desired sound, as both are vibrations through a medium, such as air or water. The difference arises when the brain receives and perceives a sound. Acoustic noise is any sound in the acoustic domain, either deliberate (e.g., music or speech) or unintended. In contrast, noise in electronics may not be audible to the human ear and may require instruments for detection. In audio engineering, noise can refer to the unwanted residual electronic noise signal that gives rise to acoustic noise heard as a hiss. This signal noise is commonly measured using A-weighting or ITU-R 468 weighting. In experimental sciences, noise can refer to any random fluctuations of data that hinders perception of a signal. Measurement Sound is measured based on the amplitude and frequency of a sound wave. Amplitude measures how forceful the wave is. The ...
