Frontenac—Mégantic was a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that was represented in the House of Commons of Canada from 1997 to 2004. It was created in 1996 from the Mégantic—Compton—Stanstead riding. It was abolished in 2003 when it was redistributed into Beauce, Compton—Stanstead and Mégantic—L'Érable ridings. Mégantic—L'Érable is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 2004. The current MP is Conservative Luc Berthold. Geography Straddling the Quebec regions of Centre-du-Québec, Chaudière-Appalaches and Estrie, it consists of the regional county municipalities of Les Appalaches, L'Érable, and Le Granit. Notable towns include Thetford Mines, Plessisville and Lac-Mégantic. Beauce is a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada, that has been represented in the House of Commons of Canada since 1867. In 2006, it had a population of 103,617 people, of whom 82,123 were eligible voters.
