''Friday's Child'' is the second studio album by English singer Will Young. It was released on 1 December 2003 and reached number one on the UK Albums Chart. The album has gone 5× Platinum in the UK, with worldwide sales of over 1.8 million. The second single taken from the album, "Your Game", won Best British Single at the 2005 Brit Awards. It was written by Stephen Lee and Dina Taylor and produced by Stephen Lipson for Young's second studio album, '' Friday's Child'' (2003), based on original production by Lee. The song was released as the album's third single on 5 July 2004. "Friday's Child" reached number four on the UK Singles Chart and number 31 on the Irish Singles Chart. Music video A video for "Friday's Child" was directed by Dougal Wilson and inspired by Young's grandfather who swam in the Olympics. Them (band)
Them were a rock group formed in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in April 1964, most prominently known for the rock standard "Gloria (Them song), Gloria" and launching singer Van Morrison's musical career. The original five-member band consisted of Morrison, Alan Henderson, Ronnie Milling, Billy Harrison and Eric Wrixon. Them scored two UK hits in 1965 with "Baby, Please Don't Go" (UK No. 10) and "Here Comes the Night" (UK No. 2; Ireland No. 2). The latter song and "Mystic Eyes" were top 40 hits in the US. Morrison quit the band in 1966 and went on to a successful career as a solo artist. Despite their relatively few hit singles, the Belfast group had considerable influence on other bands, such as the Doors. The band's 1964 recording of "Gloria (Them song), Gloria" was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 1999. ''Hear the Masses'' is the debut album by Bradley Joseph, (see 1994 in music), a self-produced and self-published release consisting of 10 original instrumental compositions ranging from upbeat piano to orchestral ballads. It was recorded between world tours with Yanni and Sheena Easton, and Joseph invited most of the Yanni band to contribute. They include Charlie Adams (drums, percussion); Ric Fierabracci (fretless bass); Jeanette Clinger (vocals), and Grammy-winning violinist Charlie Bisharat. Dietrich Bonhoeffer
Dietrich Bonhoeffer (; 4 February 1906 – 9 April 1945) was a German Lutheran pastor, theologian and anti-Nazi dissident who was a key founding member of the Confessing Church. His writings on Christianity's role in the secular world have become widely influential; his 1937 book ''The Cost of Discipleship'' is described as a modern classic. Apart from his theological writings, Bonhoeffer was known for his staunch resistance to the Nazi dictatorship, including vocal opposition to Hitler's euthanasia program and genocidal persecution of the Jews. He was arrested in April 1943 by the Gestapo and imprisoned at Tegel prison for one and a half years. Later, he was transferred to Flossenbürg concentration camp. Bonhoeffer was accused of being associated with the 20 July plot to assassinate Adolf Hitler and was tried along with other accused plotters, including former members of the '' Abwehr'' (the German Military Intelligence Office).
