Nathan Freke
Nathan Freke (born 8 September 1983) is a racing driver. He was the 2006 British Formula Ford Champion. Freke has held four British Kart Racing Championship Titles and in 2005 became the only driver ever to win an FIA/CIK Superkart Race in a Division 2 Kart against Division 1 Karts, (50% power differential). Biography Freke was born in Hillingdon, England. He lives in Fenny Compton, England. 2006 British Formula Ford Champion. On the way to the title Freke won 10 races, 17 podiums, 18 front row starts, 13 poles and 6 lap records. Sir Percy Freke, 2nd Baronet (30 April 1700 – 10 April 1728) of West Bilney, Norfolk and Castle Freke, County Cork, was a baronet in the Baronetage of Great Britain and a Member of Parliament in the Irish House of Commons. His first name was sometimes spelt Peircy. He was the eldest son of Sir Ralph Freke, 1st Baronet, and his wife Elizabeth, the daughter of Sir John Meade, 1st Baronet, by his second wife, Elizabeth Redman, the daughter and co-heir of Colonel Daniel Redman of Ballylinch, County Kilkenny and Abigail Otway. Percy Freke (died May 1707) was an Irish politician. His first name is sometimes spelt Peircy. He was the son of Arthur Freke, of Rathbarry, County Cork, and his wife Dorothy Smyth, the daughter of Mary Boyle, sister of Richard Boyle, 1st Earl of Cork, and Sir Richard Smyth of Youghal, County Cork. He purchased the estate of West Bilney in Norfolk, was High Sheriff of County Cork in 1694, and was the Member of Parliament in the Irish House of Commons for Clonakilty in 1692–93 and 1695–99, and member for Baltimore from 1703 until his death in May 1707.Cokayne, George Edward (1906) Complete Baronetage'. Percy Evans Freke
Percy Evans Freke (1844–1931) was an Irish ornithologist and entomologist. Freke was born in Dublin. At age 21, he enlisted in the 44th Essex Regiment. Two years later, in 1887, he exchanged to the 18th Royal Irish Regiment and after serving two years in New Zealand he retired from the army and returned to Ireland. For seven years, from 1872 to 1879, Freke operated a tobacco plantation in Amelia County, Virginia, about 30 miles southwest of Richmond. He once more returned to Ireland and then in 1899 took up residence at Folkestone in Kent. ''The Jesus Mysteries: Was the "Original Jesus" a Pagan God?'' is a 1999 book by British authors Timothy Freke and Peter Gandy, which advances the argument that early Christianity originated as a Greco-Roman mystery cult and that Jesus was invented by early Christians based on an alleged pagan cult of a dying and rising "godman" known as Osiris-Dionysus, whose worship the authors claim was manifested in the cults of Osiris, Dionysus, Attis, and Mithras. The authors propose that Jesus did not literally exist as an historically identifiable individual, but was instead a syncretic re-interpretation of the fundamental pagan "godman" by the Gnostics, who the authors assert were the original sect of Christianity. Freke and Gandy argue that orthodox Christianity was not the predecessor to Gnosticism, but a later outgrowth that rewrote history in order to make literal Christianity appear to predate the Gnostics.
