Amanda Freitag
Amanda Freitag (born May 11, 1972) is an American celebrity chef, and cookbook author. She is known for her frequent guest on Food Network television programs and work as a judge on the television cooking competitions. She is based in New York City. Early life and education Freitag was raised in Cedar Grove, New Jersey. She attended Cedar Grove High School, then known as Memorial High School, where her home economics teacher, Joan Levine, suggested that Freitag might be interested in attending the Culinary Institute of America (CIA). Freitag attended CIA at the Hyde Park location, graduating in 1989. Restaurant career Following graduation in 1989, Freitag took a position at Vong New York working under chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten. John Freitag
John W. Freitag (May 3, 1877 – October 20, 1932) was an American rower who competed in the 1904 Summer Olympics. He was born in Columbia, Illinois in 1877 and died in St. Louis, Missouri in 1932. Freitag Homestead
The Freitag Homestead is a historic farm begun in 1848 in the town of Washington, Green County, Wisconsin. It is also the site of the first Swiss cheese factory in Wisconsin. The farm was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2005. Fridolin Streiff bought the homestead's land and started the farm in 1848. He had come to the U.S. in 1845 as one of two scouts for a site for a colony of emigrants from the canton of Glarus in Switzerland. He and the other scout founded New Glarus, but the other man returned to Switzerland, and for several years Streiff led the colony of impoverished Swiss settlers. When they were somewhat established, Frietag bought this land and began to build his farm with his wife Katharina. Freitag Aus Licht
(Friday from Light), the main body of which is also titled ''Freitag-Versuchung'' (Friday Temptation), is the fifth to be composed of the seven operas that comprise '' Licht'' (Light), by Karlheinz Stockhausen. It was the last of the operas to receive a staged production with the composer's involvement. History was commissioned by Udo Zimmermann of the Oper Leipzig, which gave the staged premiere on 12 September 1996. Three subsequent performances were given on September 13, 14, and 15. The musical direction and sound projection was done by the composer. The staging was done by Uwe Wand. Stage, costume, object and lighting designs were from Johannes Conen. Johannes Bönig did the choreography. In addition to the soloists, the choir of the Leipzig Opera, the children's choirs of the Oper Leipzig and Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk, and the children's orchestra of the Johann Sebastian Bach music school of Leipzig performed in the original production. ''Der Freitag'' (English: ''The Friday'', stylized in its logo as ''der Freitag'') is a German weekly newspaper established in 1990. It is published in Rhenish format. The place of publication is Berlin. Its publisher and editor-in-chief is Jakob Augstein. History The newspaper was founded on 9 November 1990 with the name ''Freitag''. It had some predecessors, one with the name of ''Sonntag'', which was established in 1946. The paper originally described itself as "the East West Weekly", being established in the year of German reunification, but underwent a substantial rebranding in 2009, including the addition of the definite article (it was previously just Freitag) as well as the new claim "das Meinungsmedium". Richard "Richi" Freitag (; born 14 August 1991) is a German former ski jumper who competed at World Cup level from 2010 to 2022. Career His FIS Ski Jumping World Cup debut took place on 29 December 2009 at the Four Hills Tournament in Oberstdorf, having previously gained success in the Continental Cup. On 3 January 2010, he succeeded in Innsbruck with a 30th place-his first World Cup point. At the FIS Ski-Flying World Championships 2010 in Planica he reached the 28th place in the individual event. He is one of only ten athletes (along with Valerie Adams, Usain Bolt, Veronica Campbell-Brown, Yelena Isinbayeva, Kirani James, Jana Pittman, Dani Samuels, David Storl and Faith Kipyegon) to win world championships at the youth, junior, and senior level of an athletic event.
