György Pálfi
György Pálfi (born 11 April 1974 in Budapest, Hungary) is a Hungarian filmmaker. His film ''Taxidermia'' was screened in the Un Certain Regard section at the 2006 Cannes Film Festival. Pálfi's films have received numerous awards and nominations. At the 2002 European Film Awards, he won the European Discovery/Fassbinder Award for his début film ''Hukkle''. At Les Arcs European Film Festival in 2014, Pálfi won the first annual ARTE International Prize for the best project in development, ''The Voice'', about a son searching for his father, a scientist who went missing 30 years ago. Two of Pálfi's films have been Hungary's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film: ''Hukkle'' and ''Taxidermia''. He was a TorinoFilmLab Script&Pitch participant with his project The Voice. Perpetuity, his latest movie was in the official selection of PÖFF Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival in 2021. Miklós Benedek
Miklós Benedek (28 September 1946 – 9 January 2024) was a Hungarian actor and writer. He is most noted for his role of ''Mr. Fritz Teufel'' in the 1986 movie Cat City. Early life Miklós Benedek was born on 28 September 1946. His father Tibor Benedek (actor), Tibor Benedek was a Hungarian actor. Shortly after his parents divorced, Benedek moved in with his mother. His father committed suicide in 1963 when Miklós was in second grade. When Benedek reached high school, he studied in the Russian sector of ELTE Radnóti Miklós School. In 1965, Benedek, along with Péter Valcz and Tibor Dévényi, won the Hungarian Who Knows What? parody category award. Jeonju International Film Festival (JIFF, Korean: 전주국제영화제, Hanja: 全州國際映畵祭) is an Asian film festival. It was launched in 2000 as a non-competitive film festival with partial competition. It introduces independent and experimental films to focus on the alternative course of contemporary film art. In the first edition of JIFF, debut films of Darren Aronofsky were introduced to South Korea. For the first time in Asia, Jiff highlighted early works of Béla Tarr as well.
