Frederiksberg Fire Station (Danish: Frederiksberg Brandstation) is one of several local fire stations operated by Copenhagen Fire Department (Hovedstadens Beredskab) in the Greater Copenhagen area. It is located on Howitzvej in Frederiksberg. The building is part of a larger complex which also comprises Frederiksberg Courthouse, Solbjerg Church and the former Frederiksberg Police Station. History The first horse-drawn fire pump in Frederiksberg was acquired in 1855. It was operated manually by volunteers from the area around Pile Allé. Frederiksberg Hospital
Frederiksberg Hospital is a medium-sized government-owned general hospital located in Frederiksberg, Denmark. It has 380 beds (2005) and an emergency department. The hospital is a teaching hospital for medical students from Copenhagen University. History The hospital was inaugurated 1903 as a replacement for the city's older hospital that had become too small. During World War II, the German occupying power seized part of the hospital, the so-called ''tyske lazaret på Nyelandsvej'', where a number of wounded members of the resistance died in German custody. The hospital grew with the city until 1970 where it housed 1,000 beds. Since then, it has become more specialized and as a result, the number of beds has decreased. Falkoner Alle ( lit. "Falconer Avenue") is one of the main streets of Frederiksberg in Copenhagen, Denmark. It runs from Frederiksberg Town Hall Square in the south to Ågade on the border with Nørrebro in the north, linking Allégade with Jagtvej. Robert Storm Petersen (19 September 1882 – 6 March 1949) was a Danish cartoonist, writer, animator, illustrator, painter and humorist. He is known almost exclusively by his pen name Storm P. Biography He was the son of a butcher and grew up in Copenhagen in a lower middle class environment. After interrupted studies at the Academy of Art, he worked as a free-lance painter, illustrator and cabaret entertainer. Already during World War I he was a well-known artist, and from about 1920 onward he was almost a national "institution" as a humorist, partly because of his versatile interests. His first comic strip was printed in 1906, in the Danish tabloid ''Ekstra Bladet''. Frederiksberg Runddel (literal translation, lit. English language, English:Frederiksberg Circus) is a space in front of the main entrance to Frederiksberg Park, Frederiksberg Gardens, at the end of Frederiksberg Allé, in the Frederiksberg district of Copenhagen, Denmark.
