Sir Frederick Williams, 2nd Baronet
Sir Frederick Martin Williams, 2nd Baronet (25 January 1830 – 3 September 1878) was a politician in the United Kingdom. He was Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Truro in Cornwall from 1865 until his death in 1878. Personal life He was the son of Sir William Williams, (1791 – 24 March 1870), of the Williams family of Caerhays and Burncoose, the first Baronet (Williams of Tregullow) and his wife Caroline Eales. In 1858 he married Miss Mary Christian Law, the granddaughter of Dr George Henry Law, formerly Bishop of Bath and Wells. An estimated 2,000 people attended his funeral at Gwennap where he was buried in the family vault. His residence was at Goonvrea in the parish of Perranarworthal and the family seat was at Tregullow near Scorrier House. Sir Frederick bequeathed all his real and personal estate to his widow (estimated at under £160,000) and the large freehold property, of Tregullow to his heir, Sir William Williams, 3rd Baronet, of Tregullow. Frederick Ballard Williams (1871- 1956) was an American landscape and figure painter. He is best known for his decorative and idyllic scenes of the New England landscape. Frederick George Hilary Williams (January 13, 1863, in Clapham, London, United Kingdom – June 16, 1944, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) was an English–Canadian journalist, writer, and historian. Background Fred Williams was the son of the respected war correspondent and journalist Charles Frederick Williams, and of Georgina Gould Ward. Career Newspaper Fred Williams began his newspaper career in January 1882 at the age of 19 serving first at the ''Montreal Herald'' and later at the ''Montreal Gazette''. Frederick Henry Williams (1826 – 22 August 1885) was a 19th-century Anglican clergyman, considered at the time to be a controversial figure. Personal life Williams was born at Skea House, County Fermanagh, Ireland in 1826, the son of George Campbell Williams, his mother's maiden name was Harrold. Frederick Henry Williams married Jane Susannah Gael in London on 3 June 1863 and was divorced 7 June 1882. They had one son, George Frederick Charles Williams. Frederick Henry Williams died 22 August 1885 aged 59 in Grahamstown, South Africa. Grahamstown Cathedral Williams was appointed Dean of Grahamstown 1865. Frederick Rotimi Williams
Chief Frederick Rotimi Alade Williams, QC, SAN (16 December 1920 – 26 March 2005) was a prominent Nigerian lawyer who was the first Nigerian to become a Senior Advocate of Nigeria. In the 1950s, he was a member of the Action Group and subsequently became the minister for local government and justice. He was the president of the Nigerian Bar Association in 1959, the association is the leading body for lawyers in the country. He left politics in the 1960s, as a result of the political crisis in the Western Region of Nigeria. Frederic Newton Williams (19 March 1862, Brentford, West London – 6 May 1923, Isleworth, West London) was an English physician and botanist. Biography His father practised medicine in Brentford. Frederic Newton Williams was educated at Edward Bancroft's Hospital in London and then at St. Thomas' Hospital, where he became interested in botany. After qualifying with the degrees L.R.C.P. and L.S.A., he succeeded to his father's medical practice. Although Frederic Newton Williams continued to practise medicine, he was more interested in botany and the progress of the medicine and surgery. He frequently attended medical congresses abroad. He was elected in 1884 a fellow of the Linnean Society of London, in which he was an active participant. His first botanical paper was written in Latin, a language which he wrote with fluency. Sir Frederic Calland Williams, (26 June 1911 – 11 August 1977), known as F.C. Williams or Freddie Williams, was an English engineer, a pioneer in radar and computer technology. Education Williams was born in Romiley, Stockport, and educated at Stockport Grammar School. He gained a scholarship to study engineering at the University of Manchester where he was awarded Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees. He was awarded a Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1936 for research carried out as a postgraduate student of Magdalen College, Oxford.
